I do tolerably in Elite STF's, though I occasionally get one-shotted by the gate in ISE and the pop-up cubes in KASE, and too many spheres at once can be bad.

[Phaser Dual Cannons Mk XI [Acc]x2 [Dmg]]
[Phaser Dual Cannons Mk XI [Acc]x2 [Dmg]]

[Chroniton Torpedo Launcher Mk XII [CrtH]x3]

[Phaser Turret Mk XI [Acc] [CrtH] [Borg]]
[Phaser Turret Mk XI [Acc] [CrtH] [Borg]]
[Chroniton Mine Launcher Mk XI [CrtD] [CrtH] [Dmg]]

[Assimilated Deflector Array]
[Assimilated Subtranswarp Engines]
[Covariant Shield Array Mk XI [Cap]x2]

[Subspace Field Modulator]
[Red Matter Capacitor]

(Consoles are all blue quality, except the Chroniton, which is purple)

[Console - Engineering - EPS Flow Regulator Mk XI]
[Console - Engineering - Neutronium Alloy Mk XI]
[Console - Engineering - Neutronium Alloy Mk XI]

[Console - Universal - Assimilated Module]
[Console - Science - Field Generator Mk XI]

[Console - Tactical - Chroniton Flux Regulator Mk XI]
[Console - Tactical - Phaser Relay Mk XI]
[Console - Tactical - Phaser Relay Mk XI]
[Console - Tactical - Phaser Relay Mk XI]

Tac1: TT1, APB1, CRF2, CRF3
Tac2: TT1, THY2, APO1
Eng1: EPtS1, AtSIF1
Eng2: EPtS1
Sci1: HE1, PH2

Front might be swapped out for [Borg] when I'm doing STF's, thought I get more milage out of [Dmg] than [Borg] in fleet events.

Chronitons because they were free in the Fleet Bank.

Still trying to get me some prototype shield tech -- probably go with MACO.

Torn between the EPS and an RCS.

Captain build, a bit heavy on ground skills, eventually I'd like to not be horrible in ground STF's.

Ground kits I have are Fire Team and Squad Leader (Both Mk X purple).

Weapons:
[Polaron Pulsewave Assault Mk XII [CritD] [CrtH] [Borg]]
[Antiproton Bolt Rifle - Sniper Rifle Mk XI [CrtD] [CrtH] [Borg]]

I also need to save up my EDC for a ground set, using the Fractal Remodulator isn't my favorite thing.

I've actually wondered how effective a chroniton torp boat would be in an STF as a lesser replacement for a gravity well. I know their effects can be overridden by skills, but if the dps drop-off isn't too great it might be fun to try out.

Also, who *hasn't* been one-shot by the gate, lol? When it hits you for 100k direct to hull, it's kinda hard to live to tell the tale. :P I wouldn't worry too much about that. However, drop the RCS and slot the borg module instead, and run another field generator in the science slot. That'll bump your shielding up ~1k, which will help out more than some extra turn rate on an escort, methinks. Some people say DHCs are better than DCs and vice versa, so it's up to you on that...I don't think you're trying to squeeze every last dps out of your ship, are you?

Anyway, if your ship is fun to fly and does decent damage, I'd keep the chronitons for the lulz. It's a pretty good ship build that only "needs" a few tweaks, so don't fret too much over a complete overhaul.

Hakaishin: You're an escort. You do not require a rear torpedo and you hurt your overall DPS by having it.

The torpedo you do use should be capitalizing on damage, not effect. Again, this is not PvP. Your duty is not harassment, as you cannot harass an unthinking and pre-programmed AI.

Your duty is to kill them as quickly and efficiently as possible.

Swap to either Photon or Quantum. Greater damage output overall.

Also, you don't need to knock NPC subsystems offline. If you're purely PvE, swap out your phaser weapons for Antiproton. Far greater damage output. If not that, go with Disruptor for a resistance debuff on your enemy, or Plasma and burn your enemies to death.

Other than that, swap to all [Borg] weapons if you're dedicated to PvE. You'll get far greater effect out of it.

    [Assimilated Deflector Array]
    [Assimilated Subtranswarp Engines]
[Covariant Shield Array Mk XI [Cap]x2]

Hakaishin: When you get the chance, swap to MACO shield. If you can't get that, consider the Reman shield as a substitute, very easy to get. Better capacity than the Cap2.

    [Subspace Field Modulator]
    [Red Matter Capacitor]

(Consoles are all blue quality, except the Chroniton, which is purple)

[Console - Engineering - EPS Flow Regulator Mk XI]
[Console - Engineering - Neutronium Alloy Mk XI]
[Console - Engineering - Neutronium Alloy Mk XI]

Hakaishin: If your goal is strictly STFs, swap those Neutroniums for the Plasma armors and drop the EPS - you'll have the same power settings universally in STFs (100/50/25/25). It isn't needed. Consider either a 3rd Plasma armor, or Graviton Pulse Generator to slow groups of probes before getting to the gate in KA, or the Nanite Spheres in Infected, or the swarms of mobs from reaching the Kang in Cure.

[Console - Universal - Assimilated Module]
[Console - Science - Field Generator Mk XI]

[Console - Tactical - Chroniton Flux Regulator Mk XI]
[Console - Tactical - Phaser Relay Mk XI]
[Console - Tactical - Phaser Relay Mk XI]
[Console - Tactical - Phaser Relay Mk XI]

Hakaishin: You aren't an Armitage with the torp console, therefore you should not be using a torp Tac console. 90% of your damage comes from your other weapons, therefore it makes more sense to maximize those weapons as much as possible.

That considered, since you're better off swapping to either Antiproton, Disruptor, or Plasma energy weapons, equip 4x of the corresponding Relays.

    Tac1: TT1, APB1, CRF2, CRF3
    Tac2: TT1, THY2, APO1

Hakaishin: Your TAC BOFF powers look good except for one detail. You'll want either HY3 or Spread 3, so consider 2x Betas as opposed to Omega. Omega does help with tractors on occasion, but that's what you have Polarize Hull for. It isn't necessary.

    Maximize your damage output.

    Eng1: EPtS1, AtSIF1
    Eng2: EPtS1

Hakaishin: Engi BOFFs look good, don't change a thing.

    Sci1: HE1, PH2

Hakaishin: I'd personally use HE2 and PH1 given your lack of hull heals.

Front might be swapped out for [Borg] when I'm doing STF's, thought I get more milage out of [Dmg] than [Borg] in fleet events.

Hakaishin: If you're doing both, you'll get more mileage in the long haul with [Borg] weapons. Borg frequent the Fleet Events as well.

Chronitons because they were free in the Fleet Bank.

Hakaishin: Swap out for Photon or Quantum when you can.

Still trying to get me some prototype shield tech -- probably go with MACO.

    Hakaishin: Wise choice.

Torn between the EPS and an RCS.

Hakaishin: Neither. Graviton Pulse, another armor, or move that Universal Borg console to Engi slot and put in another Field Generator in Sci.

Captain build, a bit heavy on ground skills, eventually I'd like to not be horrible in ground STF's.

Hakaishin: I don't critique ground builds. Find someone else for that.

    Hope that helps.

    Changes thus far:

BO and a DBB instead of the torpedo/HYT.
Disruptors instead of phasers (DHC in front)

    Tac2: TT1, APB1, BO3

Swapped levels of PH and HE

    Sci1: PH1, HE2

    Consoles:
    Borg, Neutroniumx2
    Sci: Field Generatorx2
    Tac: Disruptor Inductionx4

Reman (with no set bonuses, mission reward version) is the same as a Covariant [Cap]x2
"This particular variant of Covariant Shield Array is directly equivalent to a Covariant Shield Array [Cap]x2 of whatever Mk level that you acquire it at. "
