Transferring DOFF from One Toon to Another

gradstudent1gradstudent1 Member Posts: 633 Arc User
Is it possible to transfer duty officers from one toon to another? For instance, I have the Exocomp DOFF on my Fed toon but would really like to have it instead on my Klingon character. Is this possible? Thanks in advance.

DOffs are faction-specific, so while a KDF character could have a Fed DOff in their roster, they couldn't actually use them on any assignments.

Other than that, as long as the DOff isn't bound you can just mail it to yourself and pick it up on another character.

Thanks so much. Forgive the naive question, but when I have looked at the in-game email interface, I have never seen an "attach" button before. How does one actually send the officer? Thanks.

Just drag the relevant DOFF from the DOFF screen, making sure it's not bound ;) to the bottom of the mail screen.( Bound DOFFS have a little locked icon on them)

You have 5 slots at the bottom, pick one,put your ingame handle on the top mail line, as in @myname and any faction relevant Alt can use them. :)

While the ability to use a Doff is faction specific, the ability to use them in starbase projects is not. Of course, this could be a bug and fixed eventually.

For the mail, if you want to attach or retrieve items you must be at one of the in-game mail kiosks. They're located at most starbases or you can call a freighter that has it as well.

Sorry to resurrect but tried this (to same faction) and it kept saying my mail was full. I only have one piece of mail in the mailbox and it's just text.

Anybody know what's going on in my case?

Mail is account-limited, so make sure that your other characters don't have hundreds of emails in their inbox and make sure that they don't have a bunch of items returned from the exchange or sent to them as attachments.
