Ship Provisioning

To get five ship provisions, in order to allow members of your fleet to purchase fleet ships, you need to do the mission, which costs 200,000 Dilithium. So 200,000 Dilithium gets you 5 Provisions, which makes it 40,000 Dilithium per Provision.

At current Exchange rate, that means that each provision costs 200 zen.

Add that to your Fleet Modules (assuming you put in 40,000 Dilithium) that places the zen count at 2200 zen for a single character unlock.

Not to mention you probably had to put Dilithium, Duty Officers, or time consuming items in to get enough Fleet Credits to purchase the ship. Which can either be transferred back to zen or time, and time equals money.

So we are looking at more than 2200 zen for a single character vessel, that's base stats are slightly better and does not have a special console.

Sounds like a rip off to me, personally not diving into the mess until the price goes down, but here to share the math with you.

whats also disgusting is you pay 2000000 fleet credits for a non-tier 5 fleet ship i.e saber or cheyenne and then have to buy 4 ship modules if you decide to upgrade to a fleet ship, I understand zen ships only require 1 ship module as you have to purchase them via the zen store to begin with. however if you buy the tier 5 then it should also have the same discount. Remember these aren't new ships in the sense of skins. they are the same skins from lower levels with different specs so nothing new created from scratch.

That's just the quick 30 min project. There's another project that gives the same, plus 500 XP. It's called Provision fleet ship I. Only costs 12,000 dilithium I believe. (Can't quite remember the exact amount, but it is FAR less than 200K). The one you mention is only used if you need the ship provisions quickly.

I'm not high up in the fleet, so I only see what is active, thats the only one I have seen. But does that 12,000 give 5 modules or just 1 (either way, its a big difference, but still curious).

    From STOwiki:
    http://www.stowiki.org/List_of_starbase_projects

    300 Fleet Marks
    18,000 Refined dilithium
    12 Non-Civilian Duty Officers
    20,000 Expertise
    500 [Shield Generators]
    250 [Warp Coils]

Gives 5 provisions, just like the other one. You should probably talk to your fleet leadership and inquire about doing this one instead. It really depends on how quickly you want the provisions. Getting them quick is going to cost.

EDIT: Sorry, I was off by 6K dilithium. Oh, and you get 500 military XP for this one too.

Still too damn high, and they are still overpriced, just not by as much.

Hate to break it to you, but if you think 18K dilithium for a project is too high, you are going to be shocked to see how much is needed by some of the other projects.

18k dilithium gives you 5 ship requisitions, which translates to 3.6k dilithium per ship before factoring in fleet modules. This means you can spend less dilithium to obtain a fleet ship (by purchasing modules with EC on the exchange) than you would a T1 vessel. You're insane if you think that costs too much dilithium.

I've seen the costs of some of the others and have put dilithium into them.

IF you have the EC to spend on it.... Thats the difference. And no, its not too much dilithium, IF it were just that, but you have the other costs on top of that fee.
