Updated the Foundry so the Draguas is no longer invisible.

Does this imply we are getting The Foundry back?

The right-click menu for players now has the option to report the player to a GM.

Someone may want to cover what that entails. Part of the logs? Do we get a pop to explain things? screen cap? etc.

Just a few days ago, we had a thread where it was argued what ignoring actually does to a player.

Imply? Yes. Actually mean it? Probably not.

I don;t see mention about the exchange either in there.
The exchange price entry will now be cleared when the item is posted or cleared.

I still strongly disagree with this.

The Type 8 shuttle has been to the shipyard and been improved visually.

Seems like "added" wasn't added to that line.

Yup, didn't see anything in the release notes about this myself. *Sigh* Guess we gotta wait until next week hopefully.

That's the first thing I assumed from that as well. :) I hope I'm (and you're) right! :D

i could have sworn the Type 8 has been in game for a while now.

It's just an art upgrade. Someone linked to some images that they had taken on Tribble of the redesign.

You have no idea what their plans are unless they tell us, and they have not said that.

Resolved an issue that occasionally caused audio dropouts.

I hope this fixes the audio issues I had last night during the Starbase Defence
Occasional cannon sounds, ambient noise gibe, just phasers. Very disorienting

Reunited a pair of Assimilated Priests that had been separated.

Aw, that was nice of you guys, I'm sure they missed each other.

Seriously though I can't help but notice that the issues involving the exchange aren't being addressed.

It's not just that when you select "Very rare" the exchange, while searching for the right rarity, displays "Rare" as your search preference, but items just are NOT showing up when you attempt to narrow down search results. You have to search all/all and hope the lowest prces are goign to be displayed.

Just glad they finally fixed Second Wave for solo players.

Now I will have to find something else to complain about. Hmm, the exchange search function still broken? That will be my next whipping horse. :D

Upgraded visual appearance of Hyper-compressed Cryo Launcher Mk XII.
So, this means that players like myself, that have BILLS, RENT, GROCERIES, ETC, are stuck with the Cryo Launcher that looks and sounds like a AP Pulsewave? I guess I shouldnt be suprised, considering Cryptic's track record of BONEHEADED decisions lately.
    Klingon NPC groups:
The version of Isometric Charge used by NPC ships has been tuned.
    Initial hit damage was improved.
IMPROVED?! This attack was already nearly destroying ESCORTS! Now it probably will destroy Escorts!
    First jump damage is unchanged.
    So another Escort dies.
Second jump damage has been reduced.
    By how much? 1%?
Final jump damage has been significantly reduced.
    2%?
This also affects Assimilated Klingon ships seen in the STF: "The Cure"
So, after weakening them several months ago, you've decided to go back on this, and make them even harder? BONEHEADS.

After all this, I just have one question.
WHERE IS THE REAL HEAD OF CRYPTIC? SURELY NOT MAKING THESE DECISIONS!

    Sigh.

Why are people still surprised by such things?

Cryptic is not at the helm of STO anymore. Any and all business decisions are pretty much done by PWE. They seek to maximize profit any way they can.

And Escorts have always been glass cannons in STO. Always. You can build around it and give yourself some survivability but you will sacrifice a good chunk of DPS doing so. You learn to deal with it, it's a game mechanic that has been here since beta.

tl;dr nothing new to see here folks, more of the same

LOL, the mighty escorts of DPS are losing some steam? I call BS, all general chat is still going to say how it's the only way to do things.

More context on response, your post means nothing as it sits. Not to anyone who plays anyway... (same for first response, really...)

    • High quality remodulators also have additional descriptions showing why they are superior to basic models.

Hmm... I wonder what they mean by this.

Thank you cryptic for paying attention to the second wave mission. You don't know how much I appreciate it. Call me a sucker, but next month, I'm going to buy more zen points and buy a ton of stuff that I may not need from the zen store, just my way of saying thanks.

Quite pleased with the dedication the devs show to their game. Good job.

Especially that Second Wave has been ... fixed, hopefully, for good.
But appreciate the myriad other thongs fixed too.

quit the glass cannon QQ... the dps chasing elitists have all but run off anything other than a tac in an escort from STFs... If you would allow a tank or a heal to come in to a STF without announcing that there was a "useless" tank or heals in the group you might survive these things...

but just succumb to Gozer's legacy of zerging the hell out of everything and to hell with strategy or building a well rounded group 5 tacs with cannons blazing is the solution to everything.

That being said my main is a tac and with some understanding of the mechanics of these weapons you can avoid a lot of damage... first off they fire directly in front of them so dont park in front of a negh and try to tank it head to head unless you are in fact a tank... next it has a 6km jump distance so actually fly your ship and stay 6km or more from your team mates and you are safe. of just keep dying and crying about it in the forums.
