Ok I have heard alot about people complaining about how the economy works so I thought I would take my time and right a article about making money in this economy in-game.
Ive only owned this game for 4 months and yes im lifetime.

ok 1st things 1st you want to get a starting capital and a notepad or microsoft excell for this next part.

Excell is a great program that allows you to make tables and a form for keeping track of the amount you are making in profit or loss depending how you spent your EC.

one thing that is very important is to do your doff chains as they give you the purple doffs that you need or if your getting full your can easily make a easy few million off of.(*Colony chains especially need to be done..

next we move on to doing the tour of universe event everyday. after you get a good route on this with a astrometric doff attached and diplomatic rank 4 you can get anywhere from 1 mil to 2 mil easy.

Next lets move to picking your market and playing the game called the great exchange.

1st you will want a starting capital of 5 mil at least and don't spend your profits all the time.
main and 1st thing you need to do is pick a market(can be many things but don't dabble without research.) always buy your product at half price and never waver when a person is considered week they get taken advantage on, so never waver from your price unless you are under the 50% buy rule. that way you double your money every time you sell stuff. (Remember that to always check exchange for prices as people foolishly flood the market and dont realize its damaging to the process., Make sure never to be on all when searching as it gives an inflated price, use the subcategorys you might even find a 5% item that you can make a 95% profit on.)

Careful Research into the market of your choice can net you quite abit of money in your pocket. remember if you have extra ec buy out a market and raise it so people buy it at a fair eco price, not the price 60 billion people flooded the market.

next STF's
Space can net you some great purple mk 12 stuff to sell, while ground is not good on any means for selling stuff(love my mk 12 armor though XD)

Golden rule Dont loan people EC in this game that you dont know its bad business and can get u into trouble. and a major loss in profit.

if selling for other people remember the 20% rule and tell them that you will sell stuff but you want a 20% cut out of all profits, this way both people are happy.

If you do all those things think about colonists and commoditys it will net you some easy ec for some really easy doff missions.

Although this seems like common sense I have to state it,(DONT FLOOD THE MARKET UNDERCUTTING SET YOUR PRICE AND GO TO SLEEP)

buying consoles from people at half price can net you about 30-100 mil a week.(ships work too if you wish to flip them but dang that gets expensive and takes patience and time(I commend you).

Also (Always Be Respectful and curteous on on business deals.

if you do this you will make a great trader and great friends, ps this is how I got my jemmy bug and alot of other nice stuff.

Playing the exchange is one of the most boring and dryest things to do, it takes time and knowledge of the market you like to play on.
If you're not into that style of gameplay, you will be dissappointed.

And OP, don't be afraid to get hate. You're not telling anything not already posted somewhere on the forums. It's only nice to see it compressed into a single thread.

Greed is what fuels getting items that you want. You have to want them badly enough to take the initiative to end up getting them.

Those lowbie low motivation people like myself, will probably never get to the levels of the high aggression, high greed variety.

You have to take that into consideration at all times.
