Bioneural torpedoes in the 23rd century?

I tend to like the Devidian episode, where you get to travel back in time to the TOS era. But I have noticed that since S6 went live, the 23rd century Klingon ships suddenly have state-of-the-art bioneural torpedoes.

I would understand the 25th century Klingons to have them, but perhaps not those of 150 years earlier. I did beat them, so no problem there, but I don't think it's quite.... right.

(This aside the more serious issue of non-spawning comet fragments or shards that others - not myself - have experienced).

The mission text suggests that when B'Vat went back in time, he gave 25th century technology and weapons upgrades to his 23rd century flunkies. This is why the 23rd century Klingon cruisers still can damage your fancy 25th century ship, and is handily beating the TRIBBLE out of the Enterprise. Since he's also one of those special Klingons with knowledge of the future, it's not inconceivable that he could have decided to give away bioneural warheads with his future knowledge.

Though I suspect in RL this is just an oversight on part of the Cryptic developers

Good theory, although the Night of the Comet mission (which I am speaking of) happened *before* the Guardian of Tomorrow sent B'Vat back, which pretty much precludes that possibility. Even if you throw in temporal mechanics (they give me a headache), all the Klingons' 25th century ships were destroyed.

I do completely agree on the RL explanation though. :D

The D7s in "Past Imperfect" also fire Bioneural warheads. I'm guessing they're just costume swaps of the Vor'cha NPC.
