Is unlocking Ferasans worthwhile?

As the topic says, I've been debating on unlocking a new race to play with since I need a change from my sexy Orion ladies. I'm currently debating between the joined Trill and the Ferasan, and while I'd like to play the kitties their racial bonuses seem kinda meh. I would like a race geared more towards ground stuff simply because I'm worse at it.

So if what would the esteemed KDF community recommend? :)

    Ferasans are fun. :D

    see: http://www.stowiki.org/Player_race

Actually, almost all races with required traits have ground required traits. Humans, Liberated Borg, and Joined Trill are the only ones I know of that HAVE racial space traits.

Its really only good if you are a hardcore ground player, the jumping bonus helps a lot, especially in the new ground fleet event starbase incursion. You can jump on top of cargo boxes to get a better view of where saboteurs beam in, the jump over boxes to get there immediatley. Other then that the jump bonus is mostly useful in ground pvp like assault where there are lots of high up places to jump and snipe from. If you don't do a lot of ground, its a waste of money to pay to unlock Ferasan.

You could actually build a Ferasan as a Space combat char, Ferasans have THREE optional slots but only get TWO space combat traits, Accurate and Elusive. So it could be done, but not that well.

A joined Trill can shine in any science or space, as ferasans works really good as tactical and ground.

As race, Ferasan have a good jump, and fights well in melee and range attacks with good weapons.

Explain everything. But for roleplay reasons, some people choice Ferasans as good option too.

Unlike some people, I like ground combat in this game.

I accidentally bought the Ferasan player species, I was after the BOff, funny thing is I was looking at the BOff on the zen-store, I don't know how or why I ended up clicking on the player thing. So now I have a Boff with a mohawk...

Ultimately, only you can decide, but I have currently used my char as my main thus far and think he's pretty cool.
