Is it really so hard to add in an option to right click on a team leader's profile, then select to move to his instance?
Seriously, this was a godsend when EverQuest 2 added it in 4 years ago, and it would save a lot of headaches on Nukara Prime.

I agree that the instancing mechanic in the game is far from optimal. As the original poster mentions, attempting to join an existing team, already in an instanced location, seldom results in you being placed in the same instance. This results in follow-up headaches, refreshing the instance list over and over, hoping for room to open up in the one that your team is in.
Alternatively, the rest of the team tries to change instances to one that's less populated, often times resulting in the scattering of team members across multiple zones, in the confusion. Several of my friends play this game simply because of it's 'Trek' content, and not because they're avid gamers. To them, the instancing system is certainly not intuitive, and they're easily frustrated with not being able to find their group or team.
Likewise, being grouped and entering a zone together, does not always guarantee everyone's placement in the same zone. A rework of this mechanic is, in my opinion, needed and frankly, quite overdue.
