no it does not (Greek words have specific meanings)

Greek language is very nuanced and precise.
Whereas English, being assimilative, has multiple (and often conflicting) meanings for the same word.
In this case, I'm referring to:
"The total complex of relations between people living in society."
Moreover, all of human interaction is propaganda and rhetoric designed to influence, down to a conversation with a teller at the bank or a cashier at the grocery store.
Much of it is unconscious but it's absolutely inevitable.

Did you ever even WATCH the show? Every couple of episodes some admiral or other was milling around causing issues for the captain. The only series where the captain wasn't constantly catching hell from Starfleet Command was Voyager, and that only lasted the first 3 or 4 seasons (until they got back in comms range).
did any one else have Guy's voice (from Galaxy Quest) read that first sentence to them?
It might techincally be Trek, but it definitely isnt fun. As far as fleet politics go, there should definitely be mechanics in place to allow the leaders to set limits on donations. Exactly what those limits should be is where the "politics" side comes in.
We could also mention the episode "Inter arma silent..." where the romulans complain about not getting priority for repairs... Or "Take me out to the holosuite" where the T'kumbra is partially on a waiting list...
I could go on...
Of course. But those were generally short mentions. The episode I mentioned made it the entire B-plot.
"If you have never used Cello, I'm not interested in your browser opinion."

Personally, I hope that the abomination that is "The Foundry" dies an agonizing death. There is not a single good reason to keep that junk in the game. None of the missions are worth the time to run (most are so horrible that I would rather stick a fork in my eye than actually run them). It is the same problem with the other game that has user created content.. most of the users are drooling imbiciles and should not be allowed to share their insipid dreams of mediocrity with others.
* (I am only aware of one other MMO that has user created content, but there may be others)
Factual error: Worf wielded a Bat'leth vs. Duras' more Earth-like sword of Klingon Origin
That's what I said. Worf used his to kill Duras. Anyways to the OP, thats why you need to work with your fleet, if your fleet ignores your plies, then find another one.
every time someone talks about the problems with the fleet donation system, the devs say thats where "fleet politics" come in. what fleet was kirk or picard in and who told them how many resources they could contribute? and even if there WAS that kind of system in the shows/movies, there obviously would have been a real system in place to manage it, not just some nonsense uninforcable honor system.
Actually, inter-fleet/unit/command issues are incredibly common, especially in TNG/DS9.
However, I agree that contribution can be changed for the better from a gameplay standpoint.
