I havent playd that much pvp lately im bored atm and the new fleet ships etc arent that hopeful for fair balance and diversity, its the same **** all over again 1 ship above the other, playing the same ship for more then half a year gets kinda boring. I know i can go back to the mvam or whatnot I would really like to fly some good Fed or KDF ships but the kdf side is even more lousy now they nerfed the already 16K hull xwing bop back from 4 to 3 tactical consoles.
really? TRIBBLE this starbase ****.
Oh the stupid petship from the bortas is better then the xwing one.. a former pet.. what? lol
This game is in serious need for some additional ship base statistic/console/bridge officer station tuning.
I might go and try that Tier 1 fleet science ship and fly something else for a while...

Frankly I am tired of Sto, have been a grind to get T4 in almost all trees on the duty officers on Zorena "my main".
I don't enjoy pvp nearly as much as before season 4. Forums are boring, the lack of opposition is still here the pvp revamp is scratched? Going to happen.. Who knows?
People taking about other games playing other games just doing something else then sto not worth logging in because its not fun, we have been playing d3, and other games in TSI.
Pug pvp is really worthless and I am not just talking about it being too easy sometimes its the exact opposite its a really horrible team you are on and then there is the premades on the other side. PVP needs that revamp if Sto pvp is ever going to be a global success we need the random ques we need people to get rewarded for winning, Too many people is just pvping ATM doing jack **** or roleplaying or whatever and get the same rewards as me and I want to win every game.
Maybe its just time to do something else again 2 years of Star Trek and all the Lies from the devs about pvp is taking its toll, plus if you didn't get it the new Starbases is basicaly the thing that is going to cement your stay in Star Trek if you aren't already hooked 6-8 months of grind to get it to max rank and then your also going to pay for the "privilege" of having a Tier5 Star base that can produce your C-store ships. Oh I am sure some of you think its cool so don't mind me I am just old and grumpy.
Pvpers have been giving "constructive feedback" for 2 years now hasnt worked so far!!
I do have that in sight, it was just a guess. Only wanted to point there, i think all of you are able to decide on your own if it's worth a try or not .
PvP is broken. Starting season 6 you could not even choose a map from the drop down box in a private challenge. The only option is "Assimilated cruiser".
...including if you would like to see this expanded to other types of events (STFs, PvP, Fleet Actions etc.).
...so about my guess. Just trying to be "constructive" (although i know it brought nothing to PvP --> yet <--.) And no, i do not think it's all about my engagement. But maybe somehow about yours (i think most of you already are, or have been so, more than me). Don't wanted to quarrel ....
Quite frankly im just bored of STO for the most part. its either grind stupidly in a blind zombie rage of boredness or purchase things in the c-store for no reason but to test and see how horribly un balanced the consoles are.
Mech Warrior Online launches Aug 7th though and i will be playing there since the game was designed strickly for PVP ATLAS FTW.
Cryptic make something interesting in this game and for once after 2.5 years of giving suggestions why not just open your ears and listen you might get some good suggestions.

I know more than several 10Fers who plan to play MWO despite the fact that it is PvP centric. Seems to support the notion that good PvP is it's own content and can over come hurdles like, "only 2% of the population PvP."
Hey I can think of another example in game that has seen minimal attention and has a low population that reflects the development effort put into it. Hint: KDF
Cryptic two out of three IS strong evidence of a pattern.
Einstein said, "If you can state it simply then you don't understand it."
Simple terms - Ladies and gentlemen, your metrics? They suck. They can cost you money in the long term in the form of potential lost funds and reduced over all player population due to a lack of diversified revenue streams and traditional player diversions.
Simplest terms - A given feature's population proportionally reflects the effort put into it. I am almost certain someone can make a mathematical formula to reflect that statement, (if one does not all ready exist that is).
Sorry, Stahll et all, but that is just my opinion and the strong suggestion of a potential pattern seems to support it.

This is part of why the queues are very rarely satisfying or even remotely fun to me. Nine times out of ten one side has a full premade (and I suppose I can hardly blame them, it's not like the queues are alive with activity just from pubs alone) and whichever side they're on it's a complete stomp. If there's no challenge (or if I'm just getting sent back to the respawn point because half my pub team is permadead) I can't enjoy it at all, sorry.
That seems to be a quite universal experience, as I have experienced it myself often and read reports about it even more so. It could be solved by adding a 1v1 queue.
Don't take this the wrong way but non-escort 1 v. 1s aren't that interesting to me. The way the game's odd mechanics work, certain ships can potentially live forever, while other classes will eventually lose given a long enough timeline, no matter how good they are. No MMO is really optimized for duelling because of the class system, and STO is a very extreme case of that.

I presented that debate to him in the past. He refuses to acknowledge it.
Besides we have private duels for 1v1 action satisfaction, but the fact that you have to put effort into finding one is a put off for Soph.

Don't be lazy. The first "MMOs" were text based and you had to write everything.

"Cryptic Studio’s Jack Emmert (2010): Microtransactions are the biggest bunch of nonsense. I like paying one fee and not worrying about it – like my cellphone. The world’s biggest MMO isn’t item based, even though the black market item GDP is bigger than Russia … microtransactions make me want to die.”
Well, I also quit doing PVP for a few weeks now. Only if someone ask me to join a team, I go, but other then that... It just takes so much time to get in one, and when you are in one, most of the times you will not enjoy it.
I think it's not only the fault of the Dev's that it come to this, but also the PVPers.
If you know that new players that wants to play PVP are puggers, why does the experienced PVPers go queue up with fleetmates/friends and rompstomp the puggers?
But sometimes I see some PVP fleets asking for a challenge in OrganizedPVP, because they don't want keep killing puggers over and over again, and no one responds. And the dudes who are not responding, keep teaming up and killing puggers lol.
So a small change in the queue system would be nice imo. A queue for puggers and a queue for teams. Of course PVP needs more then this small change, but it's a start and should not take much time to make this happen I think?

Quote of the week:

I bet after an extended grind, people will be flocking back to PvP to have their Grind-to-pay ships smashed!
nope, only shooting shakespeare while quoting feddies!
"you're a fing n00b with hax p2w, Shakespeare!!!! KDF is OP!!!!"
showing up there means supporting ground PvE!
If so I am off to brush up on my Shakespeare.
I Am As Constant As The Northern Star!!!
...so about my guess. Just trying to be "constructive" (although i know it brought nothing to PvP --> yet <--.) And no, i do not think it's all about my engagement. But maybe somehow about yours (i think most of you already are, or have been so, more than me). Don't wanted to quarrel ....
Only if done in the original Klingon.
