Take a Fed mission and make it KDF.

Okay, here's the game... take a Fed only mission and, through liberal cutting and pasting, make it a Klingon mission with as few changes as you can. Which would you choose? Why? And what would you change to make it Klingon only?

I chose The Kuvah'Magh.

First the mission - A former Cardassian colony we "liberated" in the Dominion War has been attacked by the True Way. They are attempting to overthrow the Governor and his men and destroy our facilities on that world. Meet with our spy and stop them!

Next, we have the orion blockade ships. Make them True Way and we're in business.
Beam down and meet our spy, a Cardassian who will lead us into the citadel (replace Miral Paris with random cardie) after we disarm the spatial charges planted around the complex. Reskin the buildings with a klingon colour scheme for a down and dirty quick way of achieving this or make the klingon/cardassian architecture if it's not too hard. Reskin the orions, thugs, klingons etc into cardassians and we are away.

EDIT: also reskin the fed defenders into klingons and warn the dead that a new warrior is about to join them instead of heal colonist.

Replace the fed diplomats with sensitive documents and find 4 of them before taking out a gul or two.

Beam back up and defeat Gul Madred's forces (switch for Admiral B'vat) and mission is over.

What do you think?

Now have a go yourselves, we'll flesh out the KDF mission book in no time :D

This is an excellent idea and the Devs should totally do this! It's really very odd that such a Klingon-centric mission does not have a KDF counter-part. And this one is the perfect candidate.

B'vat is a renegade who was dishonored in The House Always Wins instead of that other guy. You need to hunt him down. Aside from swapping out the character, this change only needs new text. This can lead you into the Reman storyline.

Badda bing. Badda boom. A whole story arc to use your space Viking in.

I too agree on this. I would love to see the "Klingon side" of all of this. Not just a copy of a Fed mission. After doing the Klingon story on Fed. I would loved to see a Klingon version on this. And what they thought of B'Vat doing. And how to deal with him. Granted I hadn't done all to high level to it. It seems I'm missing a lot already.

Of all KDF missions which happen to be a mere copy of Fed ones, the DS9 arc is the worst offender and I would love to truly see the "Klingon side" of these because it's quite annoying to play KDF and be told by a Gorn that you know nothing about Honor. It's just not fun to play Klingon and realise there's nothing truly Klingon about it...

Agreed. It's why I want people to think of an episode and "rewrite" it with as few changes as possible to make a more Klingon story.
I would love to see a "jailbreak" episode based on Rura Penthe but, even if they reused Andoria's vistas it would be a lot of work to create. If they can take an existing frame and deck it in something good it would go a considerable way to appeasing some of the KDF fans understandable annoyance at lack of content.
So, c'mon guys and dolls, thinking caps on. Take a fed episode and cover it with some Triskelions!

I hate the featured episodes on the KDF side they are not Klingon, don't feel nor play Klingon in any way, after Alpha there is really nothing even half decent to play. Though I am against just cut and pasting Federation missions for the Klingons. It's cheap and very lazy if Cryptic did this. We are paying for the game to be developed is it too much to ask for a new from the ground up Klingon campaign with new and unique missions like the Fek'lhri and Alpha missions?

The whole idea ... taking Fed missions and making them KDF ... I mean, like they haven't done that before?

Sure, some would work, but nevertheless I hate that nearly everything is Fed then copied to KDF. It just feels like a throw-in.

Simply make missions for the KDF and get it up to par with Fed. End of story. If I was in charge of content or whatever, I would do nothing Fed side for one year while working only on KDF to level it out. Obviously that won't happen, but it should.
