What, you thought you could get ships that were better than C-Store ones without letting PWE get their cut? Silly you... :P

IT is impossible to explain it to you when you aren't telling us the source of your assumptions.

They also cost a whole lot less than non-fleet starbase retrofits (in fleet credits), so it only makes sense that another kind of currency would bridge the gap and cover the difference in quality.

silly you, of course you will pay in C-store for them dummy (OP). You will also need to buy the original retrofit for console, because fleet versions won't get any.

    Happy purchase.

Chances are that the C-Store item will be available on the exchange so people don't have to spend actual money to get them. There will always people who make EC on the exchange by selling C-Store items.

and because how popular these items will be.... they could be going for the price of some of the lockbox ships. assuming they arent account bound.

The funny part about the fleet ships, is that you won't get special consoles with them. So some new player who would love to play Galaxy and has high hopes for fleet ships will be disappointed.

He would have to buy the original retrofit for console, fleet merits for new fleet variant. That would probably cost him much more than Operation Odyssey which will be still superior. And if he would be interested in Venture skin as well, the cost would be astronomical.

So do not get high hopes with this system, it is just a way to promote sales of old retrofits together with marks for fleet ships.

I wouldn' be suprised to see " ship bundles" in C-Store soon after season 6 hits live.

these fleet ships are technically the best ships in the game. you're not getting them for free that's for sure.

remains to be seen how much these extra tokens will cost.

    I can foresee the following

Fleet ship in Shipyards from Starbase, say each mark costs 200-400 zen or what not

Fleet Ship from C-Store costing about 2500 zen, but comes with a nifty console to boot

I would just pay the cash and not worry about the shipyard ships

Lockbox ships are a random item that occurs from a C-Store purchase. This item is a guaranteed purchase to provide what you want so the price will depend on the cost of the item and will be less than a lockbox ship. I estimate 5 to 20 million EC to purchase a Fleet Ship.
