Though I enjoy playing STO, I'm finding it hard to justify paying for a subscription since I have two Chars up in levels, anything I want I can just "buy" from the C-Store and wind up spending less $$$ in the long run...I'll still be playing, but just not paying monthly. See you all around. This seems to be the direction things are going anyway so....
Bought my lifetime not to long ago, IT has MORE then paid for itself with the multiple characters I have made. Not having to worry about changing things, and having access to XMPP is Excellent for me. I will not praise the sub all crazy and stalkerish tho. I do believe they have to do alot of changes to make it worth it. Most of the stuff I can buy out of the Exchange way cheaper then what I could use Dil to buy and resell. But for the simple factor Every future character I make gets 7 respec tokens, all there inventory spaces opened up, and countless other reasons worked out and paid for itself many times already. I only hope they do more in offering For the subbers. The account bank is a nice new feature, Now if only they would release expansions for it, and the ability to move certain items or currencies would be excellent.

You made the right choice if you don't plan on making any more characters. I would do the same if I was in your shoes, however, being in my shoes, I really like making multiple characters and trying to change my style of gameplay along with them - so the benefits that a sub gives would be too appealing.

I bought my LTS way back when they were first offered; so in effect it's already paid for itself; BUT, had I been a regular month to month subscriber when STO F2P went live; I WOULD NOT have maintained the subscription; and would have just gone Silver and spent money in the C-Store diirectly if I saw something I liked.
Overall, I don't think you get more from a non-LTS sub then you would if you spent $15 a month directly in the C-Store; the Gold 'perks' and Vet Rewards really aren't worth it in the long run (IMO - YMMV.)

Up until recently i was a Gold player, i have 5 level 50 characters and i recently went Silver and bought the EC upgrade, not looked back since.
I do pay a "sub" at the start of each month in the form of 8 UK Pound worth of c-points, i get 1000points to spend, its cheaper than my sub and i feel better for me as i think the sub vet rewards are not worth it.
Gold subs are not worth it. Any value over time analysis will quickly reveal that. The only reason to sub is if you like paying a premium for the time-based vet rewards you can?t obtain anywhere else.

Since STO went F2P, I do not see any good reason in subscribing unless you fancy the veteran status swag. You could be spending that $15 US in the C-Store / Zen Store buying content/services that you actually will use.
I've been a lifer since before release and my investment way back when in my future entertainment has more than paid for itself many times over.
Thanks for letting us know, we are all very interested in status of your sub.
