as you can tell this thread is about possible tholian story ark theories. i would hope that the story ark includes a conflict between the tholians and the mirror universe due to the fact that the tholians love going over there and stealing stuff. also because my main is from the mirror universe. so yea u would like to see the main back story to be tholians and the empire in the thick of it.
call me nuts but I think the Tholian Assembly is made up of the Tholians from both universes..... or more.
As for the plot...
Idea 1)
I think the Tholians vs Terran Empire is likely.. Maybe in the Mirror universe the Terrans are finished with the Klingon-Spoon head alliance and have moved on into Tholian space... obviously a battle has happend.. and somehow the Tholians have captured the TErran Oddessey... dragging it to the other universe they intend to learn its secrets for the war in the mirror universe....
How the Iconions play into this I do not know... maybe their sensors w/e are picking up all the portals back and fourth between the universes.
Idea 2) The Tholian Assembly captured one of the Terran ships thats stranded in our universe.
Going by the consept art of the Iconions... my shot in the dark would be... The Tholians are working for them and their currently analyzing the potential threat from the Mirror Universe.

Bingo. Heck, I think we're dealing with something like a Tholian Multiversal Assembly or something.
The books have hinted that the Tholians are the same in the two universes. I think with their "spiderweb" and emphasis on the spider-like traits, we're probably dealing with one set of Tholians for ALL universes.
And I think it probably ties into:
Christine/Kestrel's plans for a dark future/timeline.
The Enterprise-C's eventual storyline.
Dan Stahl's cryptic remark about how we might see TNG/DS9?Voyager characters from other universes.
Q: (masterguid) Are there going to be any future missions where we could see Admiral Janeway, Ambassador Picard, or other characters from the TV Shows that might be alive in this timeline?
Dstahl: We do not have any missions in the near term that feature old crew members, but we would like to feature these characters in story lines when it makes sense. Some of the missions we have discussed for future series may involve these crew members either in our timeline or another, so you?ll just have to wait and see if your favorite character eventually makes it into the game.
I could see several ways to negotiate this kind of thing out. It could be a swerve to bypass likeness issues (congratulations, we get the Peter Pan comic book African American Sulu and blonde Caucasian Uhura), something to deal with characters whose fate is up in the air with CBS (hello, Mirror Universe Wesley), or a promotional tie-in for the J.J. movie using a J.J.-verse character they have no plans for (Garth of Izar from the J.J.-verse gets brought here, for example, or the Tholians transport the J.J.verse U.S.S. Defiant here).
Honestly, I think Mirror Wesley is still a strong way to go.
There's too much conflicting stuff about the direction real Wesley went. I'm not sure if it's WORTH sorting out whether he's still with the Traveler, back in Starfleet, etc. (The books say he was wearing a borrowed uniform in Nemesis. The short story collections and Star Trek Experience say he actually became a Starfleet engineer after his journey with the Traveler.)
Also, really, getting Wil Wheaton is a bigger and better thing than getting Wesley.
Wheaton plays great villains with some solid comedic timing (Big Bang Theory, The Guild) and even has a meme on his blog about an over-the-top quasi-evil, action hero Wesley.
Ultimately, too, Wheaton is cooler than Wesley and, I think, more likely than most to do a one off for something like STO.
Having him play a villainous Wesley or wildly different Wesley bypasses most of the issues CBS would have, I'd think, because, in general, CBS seems to prefer to leave TNG era characters up the air, in a noncommittal state. Whereas alternate Wesley popping by? You could do just about anything with.
Well the Tholians are messing with the mirror universe on tribble. They stole a mirror universe Odyssey and are using it as an underground base on Nukara Prime, which you have to stop them from taking it's technology.

but why did they take it?
Did it discover where the Tholians are hiding? was it taken to this universe beacuse the Tholians... here anyway. Are the Tholians here behind in weapons research? :S
I loved finding the Mirror Oddysey on Nukara Prime. What would have been better though, IMHO, would have been Warship Voyager. I know THE warship Voyager did not come from the
Mirror Universe but, where else better for that ship to continue to exist? It also would have made a little more sense as that class of ship had surface landing capabilities.
Maybe the Mirror Universe guys remembered about Archer and the Defiant; and thought they could use the Tholians to bag themselves some more future tech. The Tholians would naturally be annoyed about this.

heh change it to a Ent J terran ship.. them im sure all hell will break loose in the system.

Maybe i should have read one of those 30 sci reports I collected because I didnt get anything out of those missions aside from WEAR A SUIT!

I think a bigger question is how did they take an MU Odyssey and get down to Nukara Prime and underground. As to why, I think the Tholians are opportunists. The MU Tholians created the interspacial rift which nabbed them the Defiant. There weren't after the Defiant specifically, but they certainly (tried to) take advantage of it. And I think the same thing applied to the the Prime Universe Tholians getting the MU Odyssey ship.
I think what we have here is the Prime Universe version of the MU Interspacial Rift event. The Tholians discover the rifts on Nukara Prime. They invade and setup shop to examine the rifts. They experimented on a Rift and they happen to nab an MU Odyssey. However our Tholians got lucky. They got both the ship and crew intact.
