TRIBBLE Release Notes and Announcements - July 7, 2012

General Bug Fixes and Updates for Season 6 including:
  • The amount of Expertise displayed in Project contribution will now properly reflect the amount of Expertise donated.
  • The rank dropdown in the ship purchasing UI should drop down appropriately
  • Adjusted limits on the Dilithium exchange to synch with upcoming Season 6 C-Point to Zen conversion. Dilithium exchange is disabled on Tribble.
  • Added a 30 minute cooldown to all Season 6 PVE queues
  • Several new icons replace previous versions: Energy Credits, Expertise, Skill Points and Fleet Credits.
  • Starbase Incursion: Fixed an issue with the final Captain fight that was calculating captain kills incorrectly
  • The Gryphon should now be able to use Type 1 windows
  • Several minor updates to FED and KDF Fleet Starbases Interiors
  • Starbase Fleet Action: Updated the offensive capabilities of the Siege Dreadnoughts
  • Reduced damage done by Tholian Web

Nukara - Tholian Event
  • Addressed an issue where the Medium quest area on the Exterior was not re-spawning Tholians or resetting mission interactions properly
  • Fixed an issue with the Tholian Reward boxes that was preventing players from receiving weapon rewards
  • Attempts to fix an issue where several summoned and mission NPCs would burn up in the Demon atmosphere, despite wearing EV suits
  • Made adjustments to several Tholian patrol groups so that they would no longer collide while patrolling
  • If you click respawn after defeat while fighting the Tholian Project Leader, you will now spawn outside of the Cave on the transporter pad instead of inside the mountain near the mine elevator.
  • Made several performance updates to the zone to address reports of lag
  • Tholians on the exterior surface should no longer take damage from the acid pools

Additional Known Issues
  • Available, Spent and Spent on this Officer Expertise points do not decrease until a player accepts assigning the points to Bridge Officer Skills
  • Fleet Rewards ? Fleet Science Skill Boosts are not scaling properly
  • Fleet Rewards: Space Weapons, Deflectors, and Engines are not displaying proper provisioning costs

    EV suit-wearers now properly protect against the atmosphere (or should ;)), performance updates, proper weapons from those requistions, and several little fixes we all mentioned...

    All sounds good to me :)

    Ugh, a cool down? Theses arent STF's..Let us contribute to the fleet. No one is doing other stuff on tribble..Just the S6 fleet stuff...

    this is true on tribble, but what about holodeck? With so many other players?

    Plus, a lot of people have been asking for a cap/system/something to help prevent one/few players from donating everything and preventing the rest from contributing much. This is the first step for that, I'm assuming

    The cooldown is absolutely pointless, just an added inconvenience.

    It does have a point: as a first step toward a system that will prevent a select few fleet members from donating everything, leaving the rest in the dust.

    With it, there's a very loose limit on how many you can earn at once. And it's helping prevent exploits like I mentioned above.

    It needs tweaks, yes, but it's a start.

    Im still not for that, yes, thats a point about fleet members donating to much, but Id rather have a players in the fleet that are doing that. I know 30 minutes isnt a long time, but, like I said, no one is doing anything else on Tribble but S6 pve. We want to test not wait around.

    I'm more surprised about a patch on a weekend. I can't remember this ever happening unless it was some sort of emergency situation.

    Why don't they just set up a daily contribution limit instead of a 30 minute cap on the mission.

    A. They've been saying since the first DevBlog regarding these missions that they'd have a 30min cooldown.

    B. It's not a GLOBAL cooldown. You do Colony Invasion, then maybe goto Nukara Prime for 30 minutes and get the same (or more) marks, then you can go right back to Colony Invasion.

    This change just means you can't sit there and mindlessly grind the same mission over and over and over...

    True, but they could wait till this goes to holodeck to do that.

    By all that is holy, stop the incessant whining!!! I am running out of cheese to pass out to you people.

    Find three that you really like and just cycle them. Problem solved.

    As far as holodeck, these could be daily missions and I'd be happy. Just play the game and quit whining. It doesn't change ANYTHING for the better.

    If that is what they were trying to accomplish I tend to agree. Otherwise what in the world was the point of this (especially on the existing time gated events)?

    because that would hinder smaller fleets as they would hit the cap and not be able to start the project despite having ample resources for it

    actually, there is: a first step to make sure certain exploits don't happen.

    plus, it only prevents you from running the exact same event over and over again... it doesn't apply to doing Nukara Prime, then the Starbase Defense, and so on.

    sometime after Season 6 goes to Holodeck :) Much like the other testing rewards

    I am very pleased that my Security Escorts now know they need to activate their suits before beaming down. I have noticed that they sometimes forget, and fry for a second before they switch on.

    Also glad to see that my Polytrinic Horta is much more comfortable now. I think it actually prefers this environment. :)

    I would recommend that non-combat pets be disabled on Nukara. I have visions of my pet sehlat bursting into flames... (it doesn't, but it should)

    Also, Quantum Shadows summoned with the Shard of Possibilities are not wearing EV suits. Instead, they appear in the player's normal costume.

    But yeah, they should appear wearing the same EV suit style that you are wearing. Speaking of which, on my first completion of the Tholian Boss (interior Hard mission), I managed to snag a purple EV suit, which appears to be part of a set. At this time, I don't remember the name, but the additional pieces appear to be a weapon, and personal shield (as you would expect from a ground set).

    C-Store cap increase already on Holodeck. Or have you already maximized that?

    Contribution limit ? blueah . Worst idea ever for tiny fleets. Nah 30 Min is ok .

    you do Blocade , incursion and 30 min is gone like that and you can repeat the stuff

    the 30min cool down will only effect colon invasion. because that is the shortest and fastest mission to earn fleet marks. all the rest take for ever and are quite boring. of course now the tholian missions are the fastest fleet mark earner.

    30 minute cooldown makes sense,
    my fleet was grinding only one mission over and over again on Tribble because the guys think it has the best fleetmarks per hour ratio (which i don't really agree with)

    this will force us all to do a few different ones in rotation.


    ...the bad thing is, if you drop out of your group for whatever reason, do a PUG mission in the meantime and try to reconnect with your fleet group later you may have problems doing so because of the cooldowns. Oh well i guess we all have multiple chars to hop around.

    contribution limits are a terrible idea for small fleets.

    whats wrong with a 30 min cooldown? there are 6 mission, plus the tholians. while one is on cooldown, just do another one. i assume they dont all go into cooldown at the same time.
