New Computer?

gefjongefjon Member Posts: 14 Arc User
So it seems I have a new computer and am using it to play STO for the first time.

Oddly enough this is the same computer I used yesterday to play STO .....

.... and the day before that ..... and before that .... and before that.

So are Cryptic being even more unhelpful or is this a scam?

Then I try to login to the Forum and have to go through some stupid hassle trying to remember my PerfectWorld ID - despite the fact the game itself and the Website recognised my Cryptic ID.

Not the way to treat a Lifetime Member of STO, Cryptic, or PerfectWorld, or whatever you are calling yourselves this week

Am I the only one who foresees a whole lot of "differently clued" users complaining about how this was supposed to protect their account from being TRIBBLE, yet they got TRIBBLE after they authorized the library/net cafe computer to access their account?

just like anything else STO you will get people who have not bothered to read any posts or game related information than all of a sudden freak out and are convinced it is cryptic or even perfect world out to personally stop them from playing. account guard is something that has been on tribble for a little while and redshirt even longer. There have been FAQs and forum posts and announcements about it but surprisingly a large number of people are totally unaware.

Some people are just hopelessly floundering in their own little world with no clue what is happening and complain because they did not know.

You also have the set that never updated the email info, and the other set that have posted that they set all pwe/cryptic stuff as spam...
