I am a Ferengi captain in a Ferengi D'Kora. Presumably, the reason I have a Dabo table on board is to "socialize" (make a profit) by hosting games for my visitors. I would request a feature that makes perfect sense and would be more immersive - make me the house when others are playing dabo at my table.
As Holo Leeta is found of repeating over and over and over... the house always wins! Why am I not "the house"? If someone comes on board and plays a little game of chance, if they lose, why wouldn't what they lose go into my bank? They're gonna lose that EC or GPL anyway, how come I can't make a profit from it?
Maybe it could be tied in with the DOff system in some way - the captain would have to be Tier 4 in trade, perhaps, which seems to be the most Ferengi-related commendation category. Or maybe it can only be a Ferengi captaining the Marauder, due to their 'Lobes' trait.
Maybe something one could turn on and off, if the 'house' also has to cover the bets. This would make the most sense to me. One would have to have enough EC/GPL to cover the bets, or have the ability to place the highest bets at a certain level. So maybe a Tier 2 Trader Ferengi captain could only allow bets of 10 EC/GPL, while a Tier 4 could allow bets of 100 if they so choose.
Seems to me it's exactly why the Ferengi would have the Dabo table in the first place.

It's a Quark Enterprises Dabo Table. You are not the house. Quark is the house. And Quark, being a good Ferengi, does not share.
OK, I can see that - but being a good Ferengi myself, I would not let Quark install a dabo table without at least getting a cut.
