Ok so I get the basics of base progression and how that works. I have several more questions that unfortunately cannot be answered through testing due to the time gates and the limited number of Klingons on tribble.

1) Do we only get 5 possible upgrades before the base is capped?
Example 3 upgrades in Military, 1 in Science, and 1 in Engineering

2) If yes can these be changed once a base hits cap?

3) Does the base XP increase at higher levels or does it remain 1000 xp per project?

4) Does the time to compete a project get shorter at higher levels or remain at 20 hours?

Base progression math using the assumption that the answer to questions 3 and 4 are they stay the same:
Level 1 10,000 + Level 2 25,000 + Level 3 50,000 + Level 4 100,000 + Level 250,000 = 435,000 base XP required to get to max level 5 in any area. 20 hours of wait in between each 1000 xp points 20hrs x 435 = 8700 hours of time between missions = 362.5 days required to advance a base to tier 5 in 1 slot.

Again this is speculation and I would like to get some real numbers.

I personally feel that 1 year of time gated content is not a bad idea but I would prefer it to be closer to the 8 months mark instead of 1 year.

If you have better info please correct the statements above.

    1) every upgrade in military or science gives 1000 base xp. after tier 1, every 3000 base xp lets you upgrade a starbase tier.

    you are going to have to max out nearly all of the military, science and engineering to get the tier 5 base. i think you have some leeway at the end and you dont need the tier 5 catagories, unless you choose to max one out over a lower tier of another catagory.

    2) once its made its made but again you are going to have to max them all out more or less so it does not really matter. just the order in which you do them. you will still want to max out the other fields to get the rewards.

    3) no the xp remains the same. (this is mentioned on the starbase tiers blocks how much each requires). tier 5 needs 12'000 base xp.

    4) no it gets longer. the tier 3 base construction is over 3 days for example. later ones will take weeks..

    5) you dont need to add them up. once you get to 10'000 you dont have to start again. so your goal is to get 250'000 for one tier not 435'000. i wont go through the math but heretic said about 7 months is needed for a dedicated fleet. others will take longer but about 7 months is the best anyone can hope for.

    Captainrevo is right about most things. In his answer to number 4 he is correct in saying that the UPGRADE missions get longer as you go up in level. However, you asked about the time on the PROJECTS. I am hoping the projects are still 20 hours, even in the upper levels, or award more xp to compensate. However, I am not in a fleet on test that has gotten that far.

    From how I read it, he is right on #5. You do not need a total of 435000 military xp to get tier 5 shipyard, you ONLY (ha) need 250,000. Still at 1,000 a day, it will take at least 6 months.
