Give me back my own forum avatars

Okay... I get that accounts were TRIBBLE and that security is an issue. You forced me to change my name so that it doesn't match my account. Obviously you don't want people looking at an old avatar and associating the two. If I see a picture of Yellowbeard, I'll always know who it is... even 10 years from now on a different game.

But really. Limiting the avatars to just these few space-nation icons? Let us post our own avatars (and signatures) again. The forums look tedious without the personal touch. Hopefully this isn't some cultural shift, where we are all expected to look the same. :eek:

In all seriousness, all of the PW forums and websites have been merged into a single vBulletin install. None of them have custom avatars. It's that way because some of the sites have content driven avatars where their ingame status and scores are reflected in the avatars that they do have.

The weird thing about all that is that we have them on the Core interface.
