Weekly Update Times

Hi all
Each week we have an update to either the game or the website, when it's a game update, why is the update time (when the game is down) always when there is a Starfleet Event (Particale Scan) going on, this is where most F2P players get their dilithium, why can't these updates take place when there is a multiphasic of KDF or FED event too???

That's not always true. I've noticed a few times that the down time is during the Tour the Universe event. In reality, they take the game down in the morning a couple of hours after they get into work. Its probably the best time for them to do it so that if any major problems occur they have the rest of the work day to fix them.

If you need Dilithium just do some of the daily missions and play the STFs. You can easily get 8000 Dilithium within a few hours of playing, which is the daily refining limit.

This is quite true. The downtime was moved from when it was done at 2am PDT to 6 or 7am PDT incase things explode they have more developers on hand than in the middle of the night where they have to call in people in case of emergencies.
