I just want to point out that this thread is an old one and I have no posted in it for some time (with the exception of a post I made earlier replying to someone who had posted here, telling them I no longer post here...don't think about it too much, you'll just get a headache).

Please play, enjoy and review my missions, and please comment, any feedback is useful and it's always nice to know someone enjoyed my work. If there are any issues with any of my missions please do not hesitate to post them here, to post them in a review of my mission or even to PM me. I wish to ensure my missions are error free and enjoyable to play and with the recent and ongoing Foundry issues, sometimes that can be difficult. That being said, please do not give one star reviews based on issues or errors that may be beyond my control. By all means let me know so that I can either fix them, or at the very least remove the mission until it can be fixed.
Thank you

Of course you can also have you Ambri Bridge Officer in a Starfleet or Klingon uniform, which looks good too.
The last thing you need is an Ambrian name. The convention is a name 10 letters long, with the first 4 letters representing a family name, the next three are effectively a middle name, and the last three letters are a given name. For example:
Auritandro = Auri (Family name) tan (middle name) dro (given name)
Of course maybe your Ambrian will choose a different name once they leave their world. It's up to you.
I hope you'll give this a try and enjoy having an Ambri on your bridge.

All of my missions are currently published with the exception of the entire Mind Games series, my KDF mission the Rise of the House of Ga'Rugh and the third part of my new series Blood and Nanoprobes. All of the Once Upon A Time missions are published. However, if you are having a problem finding them I will try to republish them and see if that works.
Thank you for letting me know.

Update: I have now republished parts 3, 4 and 6 of the Once Upon A Time series. I hope this solves your problem.
I know you spent a very long time working on the new Foundry and it is very much appreciated. The new features you have added are very nice, the new system for building the story is simple and streamlined and the new assets look fantastic.
However, there are some areas in which the Foundry has suffered from its latest incarnation. For starters, the new rotation system...why? The old one was fantastic, you click the arrow on one side of an asset and you could point it wherever you wanted. So why change it? Why do we now have four arrows that can sometimes not turn the way you want, but instead just decide to go their own way based on the movement of the mouse? Then there's the map centering on whichever asset you have just placed. This might seem like a nice useful feature, but usually, the map is already in the general area I want it to be when I place an asset, so why must it then move of its own accord, making me wait before I can edit the asset. Finally, the lag. What has happened? I remember the days when I would tell the Foundry to do something and it would do it and I could move on. Now, I tell the Foundry to do something and it thinks about it for a moment, sometimes it even thinks about it, starts doing it and then stops to think about it some more before completing the action. There must be a way to fix this, there simply must! The Foundry never used to have this problem, so what have you don't to it to make it so unsure of the actions that it is asked to complete.
In fact, everything else would be wonderful, all the new features and systems, if only the Foundry didn't lag. Please...Please...PLEASE, Cryptic...fix the lag. That's all I ask.
Thank you very much,
A very active Foundry author
Foundry Mission Database
Check out my Foundry missions:
Standalone - The Great Escape - The Galaxy's Fair - Purity I: Of Denial - Return to Oblivion
Untitled Series - Duritanium Man - The Improbable Bulk - Commander Rihan
Well, till then, we can only hope...might wait to do anything else with the Foundry till then.
Update: Lag fixed! And I couldn't be happier. Thank you very much, Cryptic.
Xera, it appears that the Foundry keeps removing episodes 3, 4, & 6. Unless they're hiding them under someone else or a different title.
I have noticed a number of comments about that...I don't know why people can't find them. If it's an issue on my end with not giving enough or relevant information in order to find them or if it's an issue with Cryptic doing something that makes it difficult to find them...At the moment of this post it looks like the Foundry is down for the Season 7 update (let's just hope all the missions still work once it's back up) so I can't check to see if they are visible or not...
For the record and future reference, the best advice I can give (other than advising Cryptic to get their collective finger out and create a decent system for search Foundry missions) is to put in as much of the mission name as possible. Also, the username to search for them under is XerosArmera, or @XerosArmera if they use the whole thing...As I've stated in previous posts Vexravus is just a post PWE forum thing...it has no relevance to finding any of my missions.
Once the Foundry is back up I'll try and do a check of all my missions to make sure they aren't broken and I'll try and see if I can find them using the search function.
Thank you.
-XA
The Romulan squads in the cavern should be as follows:
1 squad in the first corridor
2 squads in the first room
1 squad in the second corridor
and the final 2 squads in the last room
If they are not all there then this may be a bug that occurred when the mission loaded and you might have to restart the mission. I apologize for this but it is not a bug that was caused by me sometimes it just happens, even on Cryptic authored missions.
I just played the mission to ensure that they were all present and in my playthrough they were. Sorry again, but try restarting the mission. I know it's a pain, but like I said, random bug that can't really be helped on my end.
I hope that you at least enjoy the mission and choose to play through it fully, despite this error.
Thank you
-XA
Update: On a second play through I got that error. I don't know why, but the 6th squad still appeared on my map when I beamed into the cavern, but then they disappeared and I was unable to finish that part of the mission. I will have a look once the Foundry is fully online once again and see if I can do anything to prevent this from occurring (perhaps removing the 6th squad all together).
Okay, that's great to know, thanks.
I'd noticed that problem in a few missions and was worried I'd have to address them once the Foundry was active again.
Hmm, thank you for letting me know, I've checked the problems and they should be fixed now.
It looks like I had accidentally set Sek to wander, so I turned that off. And the beaming down to Ambria issue was caused by a radius of 0 on a place marker. I'm not sure why, but now all place markers seem to be at 0 when placed. They used to have a positive value when placed, not sure why this was changed as it is profoundly annoying...
Anyway, should all be fixed.
Thanks,
-XA
(NOTE:Okay, so it looks like it's published and should be available for play. It seems that all the times it stopped at 50.00% it had actually finished publishing but the percentage marker just wasn't working properly...either way, it's up now.)
The mission should be available, however it has only received 3 of the 5 required reviews, so it may not show up in the main mission list yet. If you want to find any of my missions just do a custom search using the author name XerosArmera. That should bring up the full list of my missions. If you still can't find it I'll see if I can figured out why it isn't showing up.
Thanks,
-XA
Thank you for the advise but even a custom search for your name turns up only Blood and Nanoprobes as your latest missions but not the Deianeira or Ambria's Pride missions.
Maybe someone could check and confirm the issue is only affecting me.
I have had someone else do an independent investigation and all you have to do is go to the "Review Content" tab and search using the keyword Ambria. It should bring up both of my new missions, but since they have not had the required 5 reviews yet they do not appear in the general mission pool.
If they don't show up when you do that I can't offer any more advice as I don't know why they wouldn't be there.
I hope this helps.
-XA
*Minor Spoilers*
I think it is overall a very good mission with the investigation during the first part and the heavy combat during the second half.
The only thing I did not like was the Thalaron device puzzle at the end that was essentially just guessing the code, unless I missed some clues earlier.
In the interest of making sure this thread doesn't get counted as "dead" because it hasn't been posted in for 30 days (even though I update it on a regular basis and those just don't seem to count, which seems strange...but I digree...) I'm going to just start posting updates in new messages...I'm still going to put the mission into into the first couple of messages as I've been doing, since that's the information that I really want to get out there, but for everything else, it's going to be a fresh post!
Most of what will end up in this particular post was probably already said in my update the other day, but I'll probably clear that off the front page and just leave the important intro and mission stuff there.
Anyway, onto the relevant information. First off, I just want to say thank you once again to all the people that have played and enjoyed my missions and a special thank you to those of you who took the time to give a detailed and well thought out review. It means a lot and shows me that my work was appreciated. Also, they can be very helpful in improving missions that I've already published and in helping me make the ones I haven't published yet even better, so keep them coming in.
You can also post here or PM me on the forums or in game. I'm also open to friend requests if you want to talk about the Foundry, my missions, your own missions, or you just want to be friends.
Next up, my two latest missions Ambria's Pride: The Eagle's Claw and Thicker Than Water are both awaiting the five required reviews before they get onto the main list of missions. Please have a look, give them a try, give me some feedback and help get them out of the review phase.
I'm currently working on part 2 for both new series, with part 2 of Ambria's Pride, Garden of the Dead and part 2 of the Deianeira series, The Importance of Being Q. Work on both is progressing quickly, but I won't be releasing them until part one for both series at least makes it out of the review phase.
Also...1,400 views! It's great to know that there is some interest in my missions out there. I hope I can keep you all entertained.
Thank you,
-XA
So, I have not published part 2 of either of my new series yet and this is because of a few things. First, I just haven't had much time to work on them. I've been incredibly busy lately, which has left me very little time to work on my missions. I am able to do maybe 10 minutes of work on them every few days or so. This is a bit frustrating, but there isn't much I can do. Second, I need to finish writing the stories (mostly just dialogue, unless I find that I am unable to do something because of the limitations of the Foundry) which is proving difficult because of both my lack of time and because of a very serious case of writers' block...Hopefully it will pass soon and I will have time to work on them again.
Also, I have decided that maybe I will take a brief break from the Ambria's Pride and Deianeira series and instead I will continue and finally finish the Mind Games series. I started it a long time ago, completed all but one part, and then abandoned the project because I didn't feel it was of acceptable quality. However, having recreated part one of that series and knowing where I want to take it I feel I should finish it. We will see...
Lately, I have been communicating directly with some players who have been enjoying my missions and giving me direct feedback. It have proved to be both interesting and useful and I appreciate the interest and effort on their part. The comments from players are fantastic and it's great to see so many people enjoy the stories I create. Please, if you have enjoyed my missions please tell your friends and fleetmates about them and don't hesitate to send me a message if you have something to say.
Once again, thanks to all the players, everyone who has left a good, constructive comments and especially to everyone who has been generous enough to leave a tip. I appreciate it very much.
-XA
Wow...well, thank you very much, that is high praise indeed. I'm glad you enjoyed that series and I hope that if you play more of my missions in the future you find them to be of equal or better quality. Knowing that people are playing and enjoying my missions is the best encouragement there is and it's great to know that you found the story engaging and enjoyable.
I will do my best to ensure that any future missions I create as just as good if not better!
