I see most of the CDFers have finally found something that Cryptic has done, that they don't like eh?
Of all the things that have happened over the last 2 years, who would have thunk it that it would be the change to the forums that makes you finally break.
Where's your Cryptic love now?
Now you know what it's like when Cryptic does something that makes your blood boil...
Welcome to the darkside
Stay tuned, me thinks there is more on the horizon.
Maybe STOked got it right and had knowledge of things to come...

Yeeeeesss, we're not so different, you and I . . .
**strokes white cat**
Granted, Cryptic just barely exists anymore, now mere puppets to their PWE masters.
I think many aspects of the forum changes are strange and questionable. I often get the feeling that the people they hire to make such changes don't actually use forums. This is not the only such board I have seen end up at least somewhat dysfunctional.
I am not sure how any of this relates to the actual game, though.
I fully agree. This has PWE written all over it, and I'd do anything to see the Cryptic setup again.
Infinite possibilities have implications that could not be completely understood if you turned this entire universe into a giant supercomputer.

Think of me as a Mirror Vulcan or Sybok if that helps.
Now I do blame Cryptic for everthing. Want to know why I do? You do. Ahh good.
Well -
1. If they had made a game that had full complete factions (not just Feds but Klingon, Romulan and even Cardies)
2. Different classes and not just 3 that are virtually the same
3. Fun and varied missions and not just scan this or destroy that
4. Had a nice levelling curve that took a bit of time to reach end level and not 2 weekends with a can of red stripe (I don't like Red Bull).
5.Had an end game.
6. Didn't double dip.
7. Didn't out and out lie about things happening and not happening.
8. Had faith in their game to not sell life-time subs, knowing that they had made such a great game, that people would sub monthly, thus getting more money, making the game better and becoming a top MMo.
9. Tons bought the game and tons left after the first month, because of the above and because this game is just (as my hero Gary Gannon would say) Generic MMo!! and not a particularly good one.
All these things contributed to where we are now, as they didn't make enough money for Atari to survive, hence they had to get sold off again and now here we are.
Oh and I cannot make a post without saying lockboxes...
I'm sure, over the coming weeks and especially when season 6 drops, there will be more wailing and nashing of teeth, as another Cryptic white elephant comes out (interiors anyone), but I bet you can find your new Rommie ship or class in a lock box or new promo packs.
Welcome to the darkside...
Ah, BUT... if Cryptic had done such a "good job", it would never go F2P, I would never be allowed to get it, henceforth, I have every right to make a distinction between PWE and Cryptic as far as TRIBBLE-ups such as this forum go. Besides, I'm not entirely sure some of the DEVS (not PWE website designers, but Cryptic's GAME devs) like it.

Exactly. . . I always like to think the the Devs at Cryptic are just as pissed off about everything as we are. Hell probably more so, to us this is a mere game, just entertainment. Imagine PWE being your boss . . . [shudder]
But of course they can't say so for fear of their jobs and livelihoods, horrible situation to be in really.
