State of the Fleet - May/June 2015 edition is out - Changes to promotion system and much easier access to fleet stores. There are no donation requirements since we have plenty of provisions and all holdings upgraded so why not make it simple, allowing us to concentrate on the game?

44th is casual fleet of Star Trek fans and gamers (18+) joined together to explore the universe and enjoy all aspects of Star Trek Online. Our community welcome new players, as well as veterans to join us with goal of enhancing your (and our) game experience through support and friendly atmosphere. We have been around since Beta and launch of the game and are still having fun and good time with content the game developers are bringing to us.
Romulans and Remans can choose a fleet depending on their alliance to either Fed or Kdf.
44th Fleet can be chosen by Romulans/Remans allied with United Federation of Planets.
44th Assault Squadron can be chosen by Romulans/Remans allied with Klingon Defense Force.
Tier 5 fleets. With all holdings completed in both our fleets, our members have access to all fleet space and ground equipment that are currently available. We also have enough fleet provisions in stock for all your needs. I want to thank every members that helped in achieving this!
With news of Fleet Armada system soon to be introduced with Season 10.5 patch, 44th is interested in forming a collaboration with other fleets. This update is great improvement on how fleets work, overcoming difficulties of high resource cost, prevailing skill/xp shortage and promoting a better connection of STO community.

going Alpha is most logical since we don't need dilithium bonus for fully upgraded fleet. But it is also important for us to be a part of community we can get along with so that is where conversation with Phoenix fits in. We will wait for Armada system to go live when we will decide what is best for us. We will stay in touch.
Thanks everyone for participating in Fatman's ship tailor contest. This week we also continue with "Search for Soolin" and "Riddle from Q" contests that can be find on our forum.
There is also ongoing signup for new fleet event, PvP tournament with Tier 2 ships. All fleet members can participate if they are interested.

All Tier-2 / LCDR ships are allowed, including c-store and refits. You may swap ships between matches anytime, but you must stick with the same captain, which is the one you enter with during the first fight.
There are no restrictions regarding ship weapons, consoles, traits and abilities.
Cloaking is allowed.
Although a bit OP, emergency distress calls, Nimbus and photonic fleet are allowed (since you can outrun those).
Competitors will be paired randomly for the first rounds.
Each player will face 2 random opponents in the first round (2 battles), and that will decide who goes to round two.
Default space map is Briar Patch, but if both players agree any other map can be used.
A match win is the first that reaches 15 kills, or until one player yields.
If both players agree, spectators are allowed - they need to keep a minimum distance of 20 km, not target either competing players and if possible, stay cloaked during the match. Any interference with the match will carry severe consequences.
Regardless of final kill score, match points awarded will be:
Win = 2 match points
Loss = 1 match point
Tie = 0 match points each (this is to force a winner)
The final tournament winner will be the one with the most match points.
In the event of a tie, the total number of kills will decide the winner.
=Armada=
At this point we are looking for 1 Beta fleet and 3 Gamma fleets to join our Fed Armada.
This is casual type of Armada which doesn't force any rules upon others and it doesn't change the way each fleet operates. Each member continues to be independent, free to make its own decisions. We hope to share our fleet activities with allies (PvE, PvP, RP), while making participation optional - solely on fleetmates to decide what they want to do in game.
44th Fleet has fully operational Tier V starbase and Tier III support facilities. Currently level 48, we are willing to work with allies so their holdings and projects could be completed. We encourage larger fleets to help smaller ones although we don't dictate how members of each fleet manage their resources. Our fleet holdings are opened if Armada members require fleet gear and our members are available if you need an advice.
Our hope is to get connected with active communities we can get along with, building our fleets in friendly atmosphere. We are looking forward to meeting new members.
