Carrier pets and skills / consoles

Greetings everyone, I was just wondering if player skills and consoles do effect your carrier pets as well. So far I haven't gotten a definite answer. Some say yes, they do effect them just like everything else on your ship. Others are stating they aren't buffed, because they're basicly NPCs with their own "powersource".

I can't speak for the KittyCarrier, but I've flown Carriers on the KDF side and one of my mains uses a Kar'fi.
As far as I'm aware they're basically seperate entities and thus don't inherit buffs.

Certain powers can "buff" their effectiveness though - if you throw Attack Pattern Beta on an enemy, then that enemy is going to take more damage regardless of whether it's you personally or one of your fighters that's shooting at it.

I think that they are separate, but will test it in a few hours and report back.

In any case, the pets do count as part of your team, meaning they will benefit from Tactical Fleet, Science Fleet and Technical Fleet.

Edit: Just did a quick test. Tactical Consoles will not have any observable impact on the weapon damage of the pets. I would assume that all other factors work the same.

From the star trek online wiki

"Consoles have no effect on pets, however target applied buffs like Attack Pattern Beta and Fire On My Mark will. Flight Deck Duty Officers also have different effects that will modify carrier pets based upon current carrier commands like Recall Mode, Intercept Mode, and Escort Mode. "
