Too many passengers?

I have completed the DOFF assignment for "Resettle Colonists". When I try to Collect Rewards, I get a message that says I failed to collect rewards because I have too many passengers.

How can I get rid of some passengers? Or is there something else I need to do to fix this situation?

Thanks !

Dismiss them, sell them, mail them to yourself or use them in missions that require colonists.

    OK...another stupid question....how do I dismiss them?

Where do I go to dismiss them?

You should dismiss them, right out the airlock.

Seriously though, you should also look for missions that require you to build settlements that require colonists (I see them all the time in the explore zones).

You'll find "relocate colonist" in the colonial section of your doff assignments in nearly every sector and colonial assignment chains in the surrounding nebulae and arms. It reassigns 5 colonists plus you'll need these commodities which are 5 provisions and 1 medical. Doing these assignments nets you 500 dilithium plus the cxp, skills, and BO points.

open the doff window and look at your roster. Along the left hand side, click the tab 'passengers'. It will then display them. From here, you can click on them and dismiss them. Or you can sell them on the exvhange, or you can mail them to yourself to save for later.

They are there. Click through your Doff tabs. I had the same issue.

    Cheers

I'm having the same problem. I've been cruising around for most of the week with this mission I can't collect. I can see that I have a passenger tab under the Duty Officers tab and that I have (17) but I can't see them when I click on it to dismiss any. I've tried clicking all the Traits and Species options but still nothing pops up.

Delete them? Your supposed to USE them for other DOff assignments.

Research Colonial assignments on STOWiki... Relocate Colonists, Establish Additional First-In Colonies, Establish First-In Colony are some of them that USE these passengers/Colonists... with some Dilithium as a reward.

Do you still want to delete them?

You should be able to click on the the tab where it says "Passengers (17)" to see a list of your colonists and refugees; by default, all you'll see will be your Roster, which are your reserve officers used for most doff missions.

However, as noted above, don't delete them, because you can use them for other missions. If you want to free up space, email some of them to yourself.

Click the colonist, or whichever DOFF you want to dismiss, and hit the dismiss button in the bottom right of the window, if you aren't getting a response to right clicking.

You can gain the passengers through successfully completing the 'resettle colonists' doff mission.
Despite the name of this mission, it essentially provides your ship with the colonists to use later. Look at the Operations Department Head for colonial missions that require colonists (eg, 'Relocate Colonists to Federation Borders'), or in quite a few sector blocks you can find them. If you've used up all your colonists, there wont be any passengers.
