TRIBBLE Maintenance and Release Notes - March 22, 2012

We will be bringing the Tribble server down for maintenance to apply a new update.

General:
  • Asteroid mining:
    • Made mission droppable in case of failures.
    • Mission now grants a tiny reward scale on return, and does not require mission in progress to enter the map.
    • The Mining animation will now stop when the player jumps.
    • The Ferengi is no longer killable.
  • Resolved an issue with zoom and the Odyssey Advanced Cruiser and Bortasqu’.
    • These ships will no longer go invisible when zoomed in closely.
  • General server stability improvements.

Duty Officers:
  • Moved Tactical Officer, Federation Envoy and Orion Marauder ship interior contacts to console on desk.
    • Tight squeeze, but we finally got them to fit in there.
    • The TOS Ready Room was not changed since it’s a conference room.
  • Increased assignment reset for ship interior contacts to every 20 hours.
    • Note that because contacts use the last space map you were on, in some uncommon cases assignments may show up or not show up if those assignments are set to only display if you are in specific space maps.
  • Updated "Special Reserve" Bartender ship interior assignment that had incorrect outcome.
  • Increased cooldown on "Pour Drink" Bartender ship interior assignment.
    • One drink every four hours...talk about a paranoid bartender.
  • Added Dilithium rewards to Counselor and Brig Officer ship interior assignments.
  • Modestly improved numerical rewards for "Ambassadorial Tour" duty officer assignment.
  • Outcome descriptions for Failure outcomes changed for "Assemble" ship interior assignments to be more intuitive.
  • Resolved bad slotting for repeatable Fugitive assignment chain assignment "Strike Against Fugitive Support Network".

Known Issues:
  • Counselor and Bartender Duty Officer Assignments are offered while on cooldown.
    • They are not really available and will fail to start.

    what about giving also a single window with all the available interior assignments?
    eve online was hit by a huge shitstorm when visible characters were introduced because people were afraid they had to walk back and forth to do what they previously did with a single click, in fact now eve has both functionalities, a single window with every button and all the other functions scattered through the office.

    come on, you took all this doff stuff from one of my suggestions, take this one too and help my laziness :P

    The Ferengi is no longer killable.
    Does this go for the suits as well?

    You know - by now I almost believe just putting it in would be better then to go on listen..reading about this ...
    Maybe limit the access to the ships captain, visitors have to walk all the way! :p

    I hope they fixed the fed fleet escort going invisible when zoomed in all the way except the impulse engines remaining but everything else i.e hull vanishes.

    Well the Odyssey seems to be fine now, the Borta is also fine ... I did noticed a instance in the Bortas were you can look inside from the front because the model is off-center but its at maximum zoom, only at certain angles and I dont think it can be fixed without really altering the ship center point.
