EPTS 1, 2, or 3 for Cruisers?

I'm having a hard time figuring out what is better for a Battle Cruiser.

Any insights in what's usually better for both PvE and PvP? I want survivability, but I'm having trouble planning it out.

Is EPTW1 and EPTS2 generally considered the best for rotating so both are always active while leaving the more powerful slots for other abilities?

Also, is Auxiliary to Structural what everybody puts for the Commander slot usually? Or is there a better choice?


If so, is this generally the best tanking layout:

Lt Cmdr: EPTW1, EPTS2, ???
Comm: EPTW1, EPTS2, ???, Aux to Sif III

I guess the Sci boffs would focus on Science Team, Hazard Emitters, and TSS?

What's usually good for the Lt Cmdr slots if you don't put EPTS3 in there? RSP? DEM? What about Engineering Team?

Also - since it's a cruiser with not-so-great turn rates would it be best to use Beams + Torpedoes and get FAW1 + Spread II?

Thanks for any replies, I'm just getting really lost in trying to plan on where I'm going to take my engy :)

    I cycle 1 and 3 on my cruiser. 3's realllllllly powerful. 1 works pretty easily as backup.

    I have EPS 3 and EPS 3. But I also run with my shield power set to 25. Aux ftw.

    LT Com: ET1, RSP1, EPtS3
    Comm: ET1, DEM1, EPtS3, EWP3(or ES3, or AtSif3 user choice for the proper occation)
