Lott level not appropriate

So, my Klingon char receives MK X loot in STFs (talking about drops) and also the Breen series offers MK X loot for completion. The char is L50 so I don't really understand why this is so.

Is this intentional?

    Short version, yes it is intentional.

    L50 Normal is Mk X loot
    L50 Advanced/Elite STF is MK XI
