TRIBBLE Maintenance and Release Notes - February 22, 2012

We will be bringing the Tribble server down for extended maintenance to apply a new update.

NOTE:
On Saturday, 2/18, we had to put a build on Tribble that was from a different timeline. (Spooky Section 31 stuff.) If your character had logged into the build from the previous timeline, it got stuck loading, forever. Stuck in a time warp, even.

If you are stuck loading indefinitely, delete your character and re-copy it from Holodeck, or create a new character.

General:
  • Updated Cage of Fire so the nav beacon is no longer inside the planet.
  • The DS9 Bundle text has been updated to use the correct name for the Deep Space Nine Admiral Uniform.
  • The Duty Officer assignment chain UI has been updated.
  • Resolved some minor text issues in Of Bajor.
  • The transwarp costs for Of Bajor has been updated to be 100 EC rather than 18000 EC.
  • Updated Starbase 39 to add more signs and adjust the lighting.

    So instead of a clever way to escape the time warp our captains have to commit suicide to get out of the timeloop? Our captains done deserve to be part of Star Trek genre if so, just so not fitting :)

    when is the migrated audio issue at Bajor going to be fixed
    so will we get a refund then? if it happenend yes twice for 18000

    Lol I feel you but I hope the 100 ECs will be for all the missions.

    I hope nothing that draconian ever has to happen for Holodeck characters.

    Does this mean those rules about copying toons from holo to tribble are gone?

    FYI - They've been gone since Tribble returned to being just a plain old test server again.

    Is anything being done to fix the lack of audio on the Belfast bridge? Thats a pretty major bug to just leave wide open like this...

    It's a test server. Since your character can be wiped from it at any time, for any reason, you're not going to see a refund.

    If you're really that concerned about the EC, recopy your character over.

    Really?! why isn't the real issues being addressed in these patches like the female caitian not able to wear the M.A.C.O. uniform or the teams in STF's ground being disbanded at the bosses over agressive agro of the borg in the infected STF in beccas room. these are what need to be fixed in the game NOT the lighting at SB 39 or K7, I can see fine in those bases

    I drew the short one this morning, so it is my turn to say:

    People who design the art in a game have nothing to do with programming said game. They often even lack the skills to do so. They are good at 3D-modelling i.e. using the specific software etc. - but they cannot fix any game bugs and are not working in the respective department.

    You wouldnt ask your cleaners to make the annual financial statements or your salespeople to fix the elevator of your sixty story office building.

    They need a button on these forums next to the quote button that just quotes and replies with that explanation automatically... 1 click explanation :)

    Cage of Fire fix is definitely a real issue. Glad it is being addressed and given the number of people I see asking about it regularly in zone chat, I'm betting it'll impact many players.

    Caitian MACO uniform fix sounds similar to lighting fixes imo, but I agree I look forward to the fix for STF ground disband too.

    Great patch notes, but when will we see some of the real issues resolved?
    Like Ker'rat, and training Boff's in Science team 3?

    Kind of sad to see the loss of my Tribble F2P Captain, he served Starfleet well. Would have preferred going out in a blaze of glory but guess I'll have to go with temporal causality loop.

    ok fine this is a good fix but they have already tried fixing this mission once and it didn't do any thing of value your BOffs still jump into the fire.

    as for the M.A.C.O. uniform if you spent all those hours and 120 EDC later you would want your uniform option in the tailor to work. I agree that Sci team III need to be fixed to if someone had not put it in here I would not have relized it was broke since all my BOffs are trained were I want them to be on my main Sci toon but I will want that skill when I get my other ones done,

    and I understand that the art section of the game can not fix the major bugs but it seem like all we have seen lately is FLUFF fixes (I do agree having the new signs at K7 & SB 39 needed to be done) when the major bugs in game get passed up. anyways I was frustrated last night when I posted my first post because I had just done two ground STF's where the team had been disbanded and we could not get everyone back into a team bcuz one was KDF.

    I'm sure there are more issues in game than the few I have stated but the point is are we going to see these fixed before vampires die of old age bcuz my caitian would like to wear her MACO uniform before her nine lives are up

    Science Team III is definitely coming soon. Saw a potential fix getting made today, but I'm not sure yet when that will make it to Holodeck, assuming the fix is good. :)
