Assimilated Fighters

Hey Guys,

I was ruminating on some of the fighters carriers can launch and I began thinking about the assimilated fighters the Carrier in the space version of the Cure launches. Wouldn't it be cool if those became a drop or new type of deployable?

Perhaps it could be a random drop (I don't like that idea though) or it could be some type of accolade for running the cure x amount of times.

Just thought it'd be a cool easy to implement thing.

    I would support having normal fighter using disruptor weapons, while assimilared fighters using plasma weapons. Otherwise, same stats.

    Gotta say i support the prospect of hanger module loot drops and that sort for different energy types and maybe even projectile types.

    I honestly brought the idea up because I was growing tired of the same few types of launchable fighters. I'd like to see a few more variations so that we can see more diversity amongst carrier users.

    Assimilated fighters with some special Borg like thing.

    Other specie's fighters with their own special abilities.

    So on so forth

    Perhaps as a Borg set bonus (having all 4 parts) carriers could have their fighter ships Borgified too?

    Not a bad idea either. I still want to see the front piece on the carrier in "The Cure-Space" made avalable to those who have the whole set equipped to the KDF carrier.

    That'd be nice, possibly as a replacement for the Assimilated tractor beam when using a carrier (having such a long CD as to be useless).
