When will the Klingons right besides J'mpok get their own tricorders?! I mean, really, this is ridiculous^^ It's kind of an immersion killer to stand in the high council and watch a bunch of Klingons drawing out their FED tricorders every few seconds :-|

Small details are important, I agree. At least make it brown to blend in.

And remove the original sound effect. Just give it the already existing Klingon computer-interaction sound.

I remember when the Klingons didn't even have tricorders, only the Feds did...
Not until 10 months after game launch did Klingons even have tricorders and they've always been the Fed ones.
    That was Dec 2010....
So...I wouldn't hold your breath on getting actual Klingon style tricorders.
Cryptic is famous for saying, but not doing when it comes to such things for the Empire.

they are not federation tricorders. they are tricorders used by the federation.

There was a sale and all factions bought the tricorders.

If they keep their course, this would be a better Star Trek experience than STO is right now in the not to distant future :D

While playing WoW, you could at least imagine you are on a holodeck or on some crazy TOS-planet :D

I have to confess that I never watched TAS, but in TOS once they met alice and the rabbit on a planet and were not the least bit concerned what was going on, leading to the (presumed) death of several crew members, including McCoy who assumed everything on the planet was real and solid but believed everything was fake and he couldn't be hurt when a knight on horseback charged at him. He was impaled on a lance shortly after that. The episode ended - of course - in an alien love girl orgy - by the end of the episode it was implied that every single member of the crew found something on this planet to bow-chicka-wow-wow ;)

TOS - that was classy stuff :D

I have seen a KDF Tricorder I think it was an emote animation and I agree it should be used anytime you scan for something.

When I press "V" I do draw out a Klingon-style tricorder doin' some Klingonish beeps. However, I was referring to thos two or three guys next to the chancellor. They are scanning all the time, dunno for what (Undine-infiltrator-paranoia?!). But the do it wir FED-tricorders! And that kind of thing in the high council... na, that sucks^^

You also have a Fed Tricorder when you interact with a "scannable" object.
