Suggestions Tactical vs. engineer

Hi, I'm making my first Klingon (hell, my federation character is still quite new) and I'm wondering what I should play.

I have a fed tactical officer in an escort. I was thinking about going engineer for my Klingon, but I really don't know enough about the ships yet. I do know they're more combat oriented than federation ships.

Does anyone have any thoughts on which I should play (other than "play what is fun" because I don't know that yet)?

    I personally went with tactical and I dont regret it, its true I bought from C-store BoP retrofits, like the one with quad cannons and jump behind enemy console and I gotta say I'm having a lot of fun, I dont regret it even for a second, I dont know about other classes but this one is a blast for me so far, currently at Captain 30.

    My second Klingon is an engineer. First was a tactical. I really liked the turrets and other items you could make while on ground missions. They are rather fancy. In space combat you can fly any ship you wish so there you have it. An engineer gets some power management and a nice heal. You know what tactical gets. So I COMMAND you to make an ENGINEER. There you go no "wishy washy play whats fun" garbage. And try out a different ship class at each tier at least so you can have a bit of variance and not feel shut in. Blossom in the garden of diversity that is STO ship classes.

    My favorite ship for my engineer is my science ship. Who knew? What will yours be?

    Gorn. I went and got all 3. so now its the varanus fleet support vessel. I use a science ship on my fed va tactical officer also. Its good fun, has nice cc for normal stf runs with gravity wells and shockwaves. my fed is bellaphron? or something like that. guess im horrid with names.

    I play tactical. I have three tac toons, and one engineer. I started a sci, but didn't like it so I created another tac toon. I would go tac, and BoP.
