More Universal Consoles, PLEASE!

Just to see what all the fuss was about I spent the last two days playing as a FED and specifically messed with the universal consoles and class-specific consoles available on various Federation ships. (I previously only played a FED long enough to get to the level needed to play Klingon.)

I have to say, I now understand why so many of my fellow KDF players think we're at a disadvantage because of the lack of unique consoles for the KDF ships. Some of those FED consoles can give you a STRONG tactical advantage (particularly if you stack multiple special consoles from different ships in a single ship).

If you look at the various trek movies and series you'll find plenty of good ideas for KDF-unique consoles.

In particular, how about a "Cloaked Torpedo Boat" Console: Based on the BOP from Star Trek the Undiscovered Country, this console, when activated, would allow you to remain cloaked but fire torpedoes (and ONLY torpedoes) at your target while remaining cloaked. The down side is that with this console enabled, if the enemy uses an advanced method to detect your cloaked ship and fires on you your ship will be INSTANTLY destroyed by a single shot and you have to respawn.

Or, how about a "Disruptor Cannon Overload" Console: When activated, this console provides a 400% boost to disruptor cannons for 5-10 seconds with a cooldown of 2-3 minutes (so you can't just keep using it and dominating in PvP).

    I think the Disruptor overload is possible via Beam Overload and Cannon rapid Fire covers it for cannons.
    The B'rel retrofit is the the Cloaked Torpedo launching BoP.

    I agree and always look forward to more uniquely KDF abilities and think the game suffers becuase BOff abilities are generic, but it looks like the Devs have done an good job a representing what Klingon technologies exist in the genre so far.

    I'd like special consoles for:

    1] Stun resistance for, say, 30 seconds

    2] Klingon version of the 'afterburner' impulse console

    3] Reduced cooldowns ala Tactical Initiative.

    i would like the deflector power reduce boff to work on deflector console powers!!!!!!!!


    but yes, more consoles pls
