so im a tact and was wondering which ship would be good to use for PvE and mostly STF? i still need to pick my ship and been holding it out with my Pach.
The Vo'quv Carrier seem like a nice decent tanky ship to fly around mounting cannons and turrets.
As for the Negh'Var, the 1 lt tact slot seem like a disappointment since the fed cruiser version got 2 tact slots.
So i want to know which ship is good for me to use? and which weapon?
I would not recommend a Vo'Quv for a Tactical in any environment (from personal experience, its awful(. Vo'Quv's are usually great with Science's or Engineer's but not tacticals. I would go with the Negh'var for two reasons:-
- You can do a lot of damage with it. Why? Because equipping DHC's to it and letting it manoeuvre like an escort by using your throttle and evasive manoeuvre's will be really handy (in both PvE and PvP if you so choose)
- You can do a lot of healing. There are 3 engineering slots, 1 CMDR, 1 LTCMDR and 1 Ens. Enough said
Yes, Negh'var is better suited than a Vo'Quv but it is still a little to handle. For tacticals its really better in a Bird of Prey or a Raptor but if you wish to choose out of only these two, then Negh'var all the way
I would forgo both and get myself a Vor'cha Battle Cruiser Retrofit instead. It's what I use, it's maneuverable, it's durable, and all around great ship. The extra tact boff is also nice and slotting tact team on it saved me a bunch of times.
The Negh'Var for a week until we get the KDF flagship LOL. You can use it like an escort just mash that tactical initiative button every time its off cool down and you'll be fine Kind of sad if you look at in a way the ships we have now are pretty much half a century old in the STO timeline. The 2 New Flagships will be the newest vessel designs in around 40-50 years. I am trying to find the fast forward button to thursday of next week.
yea i am gonna hold off choosing my tier 5 ship till next week. gonna test drive that free ship. i believe the kdf flagship is a Battle Cruisers like the negvar or vorcha? if itsnt fun, i might as well get the voquv for fun =D
