I read on massively you can only create a klingon once your fed character reaches level 25...

i thought you could create a klingon from the start but that it would automatically be at commander level... so which is it :)

Simple: Fed reaches 25, Klingon creation is unlocked, new Klingon char starts at 25.:)

when you hit level 24 on a Federation character you will get a screen message announcing to you the KDF content is unlocked. AT that point you may choose to create a KDF character.

KDF Character will begine play at Commander level, and havee a VERY abbreviated levelling experience to the level cap. It is much much MUCH faster to level a KDF from Commander 20 to Lt.General 50 then it is to level a Federation character from Commander 20 to Vice Admiral 50.

This is the current state of the game. Because of human nature I expect we are going to see a massive influx of KDF players after F2P launch. Unfortunatly the average skill level and maturity of Players on the KDF side is going to take a real smack upside the head.

I'm not real happy with this but its the way it going to be.

I strongly suggest the KDF players start using either thier Vet Reward titles on thier characters, or some of the end game titles awarded for massive perfomance of game objectives (silver star recipient, Medal of Honor Recipient etc) as this will differentiate you from the newbie players quite rapidly. Especially in end game content. These titles will marrk you to the other players are someone who might just know what they are doing simply because they are earned. Titles recieved from DOFF accolades I would recommend not be used. The skills required to level up DOFF missions and get titles from them are not the same as those required to actually manage to do well in STF's and PvP play. Something to keep in mind. The titles the payers display while not fool proof can be used to differentiate the veteran player from the newbie and provide a mesure of at least familiarity with the game.

But not the way its gonna stay as the Devs have stated that they are working on a level of PvE parity for the KDF that will have the player starting from level one, eventually, and able to experience the KDF side of things for the fanbase that loves them ridges without the fed blue attached to them.
