According to the January 12 patch:
•KDF characters can no longer kill the vacationers on Risa.

Man, how did I MISS this? Any chance they'll turn this back on?

It'd give me a great excuse to go to Risa again. I wouldn't mind wreaking a little havoc* on the beach.

*By "havoc," I mean MURDER.

Sigh. It was fun while it lasted but I knew as soon as word got out it would be shut down.

After all... we can't have those naughty KDF Marauders doing anything crazy like actually going out marauding now can we?

Duty officer assignments. There are a ton there. And it's helped me going from T3 to T4.

Aww that sucks. I liked playing a sardistic ***** that freezes all the vacationers with the Breen gun.

Don't get me wrong. I liked the killing sprees too. The respawns there were so fast that I assumed it was an intentional perk for Marauders.

I found it to be an excellent vacation experience and would book it again if possible, though I was left wondering where the Scantily clad human females hid thier phaser pistol in that Orion bikini?

Yes, it was true.. If you had achieved marauding 3 you could go to Risa. AAnd yes, you could attck the vcationers and residents.

And for such a peacefull planet the locals are apparently heavily armed. In sspite of all the killing though not one Orion bikini dropped for the fed players I was partying with much to everyones dissapointment.

Risa needs beach wear vendors.. AANd.. surfing.. it could really use a surfing minigame.. I seriously DO want to take my Klingons there to learn to surf. Its the sort of off duty activity that would appeal to a warriors soul.

and I also had no idea that federation tourists went about so heavily armed with military grade weaponry..

How did you party with Fed players? Can factions form groups now? Can you share missions?

Also, Risa needs a city. It was always more of a beach front city backdrop in most of the shows.

Beach wear that does not cost C-points, "Beach Outfit" new costume slot and better RP facilities?

Never trust the innocent human females in bikinis. They take you down the cellars below the bars where they seduce you to get you to reveal KDF high command attack plan secrets.....later you find yourself tied to a wooden beam feeling really dazed and confused. Don't say I didn't warn you :P

No of course you can't party with fed player in other then STF's..

Subspace radio DJ's did a show from Risa.. I just went and attended the dance party. It was great fun! Good music, good company and some hostile natives to kill! Honestly I had an utterly awesome shore leave even if I wasn't able to score any loot.

Hey I used stun setting. It's not like I wanted to deal with Federation peaceforcers! And anyway, they shot first! I' you shoot at an officer of the Klingon Defence Forces you will be shot back at. We're kinda real firm about that little rule of conduct. All KDF personal are trained to return fire. We consider iot a small courtesy! Fed's like BBQ and volly ball on the beack, and we like a good fire fight. I'm good with that!

Heck, I'll even eat the BBQ and play volly ball! Who says Imperial officers can't be diplomatic?

    1) You could always misplace the coffee maker :D
    2) Learn the orignial Klingon words to Kumbaya
    3) Float an Orion ship off of the beach and pretend that you are a Pirate of the Carribean
    4) Shout out really loud "I AM THE 18%"

Gripple and I went and wiped out everyone. After a complaint to the Federation Council, they (Cryptic) removed this option.

    War is hell.

    S*D

P.S. Screens (available to the public) and FRAPs (classified) were taken!

It wasn't the Federation Council that complained, it was the swimsuit manufactueres and the Risan Tourist Association, business went down BIGTIME for both... :D
