Are we ever going to see the Efficient trait get fixed for BOffs and Captains? Right now it does nothing and it's one of the reasons why I got a life time sub, to play a borg with an efficient trait....

LOL not quite sure what you mean by that, I'm not near a computer that has the ability to log in to check it out within the next few hours. You have definitely piqued my interest though.
Did I miss something in the patch notes over the last week or so? (feverishly starts re-reading patch notes) <-- also a little dense sometimes
Edit: that's a smiley with the question marks... it doesn't render very well with the new layout.

What I'm asking for is more specifics, because on our end, they appear to be working as they ought. The effects of Efficiency are more obvious at lower power levels, so as your power level increases, you begin to see the returns diminish.
However, it's possible there's some other issue at play here, so I'm trying to get more specific information than "it doesn't work", because that could help us find an issue if one is present.

Equipping an efficient BOff, such as the Borg preorder BOff does not provide the power bonus in anyway like it used to. For example: When on a space map, set your power levels for aux or whatever at 25 and equip the Borg BO. You will find that the power level does not increase from it's set level at all.
EDIT: This is using a human character without an efficient trait and the Borg BO.
I would imagine that if you made a new Borg character you should have additional power beyond the set level the lower the power level settings gets from 75 to 25.
EDIT: Starting a brand new Borg character shows that power set at 25 remains at 25, also when equiping the Borg BO, the power still remains at 25 as well. Not sure if it would stack but that would be good to know.
If you say that it appears to be working, I am kind of shocked. I am going to make sure I understand exactly what the trait is supposed to do and check again, but this is how I always understood it. I also haven't read others reporting the same concerns so I am somewhat worried that I may have it all wrong or something may be wrong on my end. Has the intended effects of this trait been changed from what I have explained to something else?
Also, Thank you for time your communicating with me about this.

In hopes of a response to a bug im gona ask you Rex that is the flashing mail notification to the right of the mini map fixed because it keeps flashing even tho there is no mail and every time i log on it keeps flashing thinking i have mail i go see but there is none so i think its broke. Can you let me know if this bug is fixed?
BTW the KHG torpedo passive showing 25% I guess was downgraded from the stated 50% is not working properly it is only giving 7% to torpedos. Although not sure what the reason was to not give the 50% shield penetration to omega set but then giving it to the maco set.

Stupid question time...you are NOT running your checks in Sector Space right? Most skills and traits do work work in sector space.
And they traits appear to be working just fine. I spent a lot of time updating my ship power guide for the new skill tree. Even trait that I added into the mix increased power setting Efficinecy bonuses.

I was checking in Sol system right along side ESD. That should be alright correct? I will verify in about 30 to 40 minutes when I get home from work by checking on SOL system and replaying a mission or doing a daily near K7.

Have you checked all of the toons on your account? It stops flashing for me when I check all of my toons. Usually there's some piece of mail I've missed on one of my toons that doesn't show up on the others, like an Exchange sale or expiration or something. So I guess it just flashes any time ANY of your toons have new or unchecked mail.

Thank you for providing such thorough information. I've forwarded it to the systems team to look at.
Sometimes the power level change isn't immediate. Give it a few seconds and it might kick in...or so that's what happens when I change sets, the different stats don't kick in right away. o_O
The popping/crackling sounds seem to be gone finally, but the echo chamber effect on ground maps for combat noises is still happening.
Really? Because that was addressed in the patch that went out a few days ago.
Can you please submit a bug ticket on a map where this is happening and post it here so I can forward to the QA team? Thanks!
Duno if the echo was fixed fully but in ESD in the centre chamber theres a place near one of the doors on the inside of the middle room where all sounds effects are off and if you turn you can hear them again and turn back and there gone, try playing with the part popper or fire extinguisher near one of the doors, i did make a bug report about it and stood where it was happening. Was a few days ago i did it.
The crackling and popping i did notice quite badly when i was near the holodecks on sfa just one of the corridors and stood still for a bit. This was a hour or so ago and did a ticket where i stood as well.
I realise this is for tribble and i test on holodeck but still anything to help if it does then ill try.
Not to be a nag.... but +7 weapon power consoles have been +3.5 since the start of the Skill Revamp. Was this by design? I don't think we have had a clear up or down on that issue.

Yes it was. They are using a new and more streamlined formula for these things that isn't as large and complicated. It tries to get the same results (Pre S5) with smaller figures.

I'll submit tickets tomorrow when I get a chance to play again. But I noticed the issue on ESD and in the Stranded in Space mission once you get aboard the Azura. I also tried comparing from my bridge (sounded fine) and my crew deck (echoes). This was both on Tribble and Holodeck btw.
The static problem seems completely gone on Tribble though, which is very welcome.
Update - submitted two bugs one from my ship interior and a second from a ground map.
I also just tested this and I only get 1 bonus power from my Efficient Borg Boff. Thats is after waiting a few seconds to see the change. Unequipping and equipping the BOFF only changes the power by 1.

So it IS working then, you just want it to be a more pronounced benefit, I think.
We'll look into this.

LOL you cant even see it unless you squint with one eye and get up real close to the monitor.... or just hover on the power changey thingy to see the numbers. I didn't notice at first and thought it was not doing anything...

Used to be that we'd get at least a noticeable 5 or 10 extra power, which is why Efficient Saurians are so highly sought after on the exchange. (How else do you explain the 5-7 million price tag for them?)
Given present evidence, I'd say it's quite fair to say that now Efficient officers are only providing +1 (rather than 5 or 10) we most definately would like to see it return to pre-patch levels.

if you have multiple toons make sure you have check them all, one of my fleet mates was having the same issue and realized he did not look at all his mail and found he had some unread mail on another toon, after he read the mail the button stopped flashing.
