empire defense missions

Is there a lockout on these I just killed 6/6 feds in the expanse and the next encounter has no kill mission available just the ships. Is there a lockout timer for these?

    These missions were broken long ago. I had seen several claims that they were fixed over the past months but have not tested it.

    thats what I thought I can complete them but can only progress at the rate of 1 of 3 a day so I guess its a tri- daily not a daily.

    I used to find that leaving the expanse then re-entering would allow you to start the next encounter of three properly, but it didn't today.

    Logging out / logging back in did work though. Bit extreme however, really should be fixed.

    I'm kind of pumped at this one, too. I cannot believe that these simple missions are that broken. It seems that the 5-minute-cooldown also applies to every single kill mission. Relogging won't help, but quitting the game for about 5 minutes re-enables you to finish these missions.

    EDIT: Okay, I solved the mystery :D The kill-counter-missions actually have a 5 min. cooldown, but you are not told so. What works for me is doing the ED mission in the khaless expanse one time, then fly to the azure nebula and do the same thing with the romulans. Rinse and repeat.

    My Klingon char does nothing else then doing this and grinding dilithium right now.

    Your tactic is exactly what I figured out last night after doing these for the first time. Takes a while, but when you finish both within a few mins of each other, the dilithium payoff is kinda nice(xp too)!
