I noticed 'according to the tooltip' at least that the STF torps do a flat +1000 against borg. Presumably that is not a chance, or it would say so, but a flat damage.
Now, if that is the case presumably also then, the faster the RoF the greater influence this has. Anyone got any detail. Is that actually how it works?
Sceondly. I am wondering about shoving a second torp up front for STFs and maintaining a more steady RoF. This comes to mind in conjuction with the proposed changes to the Honour Guard set. I spent a lot of time getting it and seeing as it will benefot torps more maybe I should push that angle
So, similarly, any tips on a 2x2 torp/gun ratio up front? My insticts tell me that it is a bad option but would like to hear from those that may use it.
I would hope that this is the BASE damage before all modifyers. I would hope the anit-Borg adds to the damage differently than the DMG modifyer does.
Honstly on my stf ship i couldent tell u but my lay out is a dual beem with 2 single beams and a mk 11 borg tricobolt and in the rear 3 beams and one mk 11 borg tricobolt all weapons are borg mk 11
Pretty confident it is a seperate attack doin 'radiation' damage. Not sure if there are any potential modifiers to this currently.
I certainly have noticed several clean 1,000 damage hits when in STFs which are presumably the proc; admittedly Ihave not examined the combat log closely. Far too much is going on in an STF to make much sense of it with my simple 8-bit apish brain.

1 beam 2 torp
torp spread 1+2
its like a machinegun.
as for damage i dont know its just FUN!

EDIT:
Okay, it's only energy weapons that have a 7.5% chance. Torpedoes and Mines have a guaranteed 1000 damage.
WHAT? It should be that much MINIMUM! If modifyers increase the damage, great! If they don't, at least we get than much per shot.
