I didn't found any Thread or comment on this, so i start is now. (Sorry for bad spelling, i'am german, but i try my best ^^)
As i played the new STF's, i noticed that all Pets of the carrier won't attack neighter the Transformers nor the Gate. I tried different types of Ships, even used the Orion Flight deck Cruiser, but no matter what i tried, my Pets won't attack them. But so fine by now, Reportet a Bug and PM'd for information.
Now, 3 Patches later, i still got no answer on my PM, neigther on my bug report, AND the Problem still remains. Now I want to know, if there is any attemp to fix this soon by the defs, if there is any... :rolleyes:
Anyway, i also want to know if other Carrier players also encountered this Problem.
This problem is known , & the Devs are working on a fix. The biggest culprit is the BoPs.they don't seem to want to attack ANYTHING. I use the S'kull fighters when i do STF's, they will attack the gates.They will attack anything. In fact, if you have a teammate targeted when you launch, they will suicide bomb him
the units that drop mines like the orion interceptors/slavers(the one with mines) and the Kar'fi frigates are able to damage the transformers. The Fekli fighters will also ram(every now and then) the transformers but every thing works as intended(minus the bugs) against the generators. The only pet that does any thing to the gates them selfs are the powersyphons, but sometimes the units with mines will drop them against the gate but usually too far out to trigger the homing.
I hadn't played my KDF in a while, but I notice new controls for carrier pets. I target what I want them to attack, click attack, and they go for that target. Pretty nice.

This has been a known problem since F2P was on the Tribble test server.
I'm using the Orion Interspetors right now, they and the Orion Slavers seem to have no problems hitting any targets (Big gates included)
Somehow it dosn't suprise me that this was known since the tribble F2P and nothing was done till now.
Anyway, looking forward to 17th, maybe some miracle is happening ^^
Ive had the same problem, as I use a carrier for my tac and for my eng, Which I haven't given much thought to, given all the other stuff that is bugged haha
The s'kul fighters are my favorite for the ramming skill... they ALWAYS shoot at the generators ( ever fly straight for a generator with 12 little ships *pew pewing* beside you? haha ),
Even if they do not shoot at the big gate they are still useful for absorbing some of the FaW and for ramming it when they feel like it, and they seem to pour out of your ship if you have a good flight deck officer equipped.
