My self and a follow fleet member have confirmed the passive set power "Tactical Readyness" does not add 6.5(mkXI) or 7.0(mkXII) to the auxiliary power setting.
I have the Shield and Engine mk XI pieces.
From my prospective the pieces of the set were tested on a bare ship with 9 points in Aux Performance. Either in combat or out of it, being shot at or not. The info on the set tool tip does show the set power to be on contradicting to our observations. I also checked to see if it was only a visual bug to the power g.u.i. piece by monitoring Boff power effectiveness such *** Sensor scan, haz emitter and grav well.
I have also heard that the second set power, Mask Energy Field cannot be shut off, as well as other powers being unusable (consistent with a Mask Energy Signature power) while it is active so you must wait till out of combat(if currently in) to remove the item in order to deactivate the power.
Totally lame, after all the grinding.
My question to you all is can you also confirm our findings or add to them?

TO CRYPTIC: i have submitted a bug report for my own issue with the set. Will you be fixing this in the next patch?
I can confirm that the Mast Energy Field buff cannot be deactivated by the user, although teammates who are affected by it can leave the field or shoot and attack as normal. But the captain in the vessel itself cannot engage until the 18 second buff has turned itself off.
Which... I dunno. I haven't found a great use for it yet, but there could be something (coupling it with the battle-cloak to mimic the enh cloak?), I guess. The inability to disable it is a pain, though. I don't get why they didn't make it work like the regular Mask ability that way.
Also, the Mk XI shield at least has no visible effect on the Hegh'ta BoP. Maybe it does with the others? Apparently the Mk X version works fine, but I don't have one of those to check it against.
This is why ALL the sets should have added to the "Freebie" console on Redshirt.
Had that been done all these issues with the sets would have been caught "before" they went live on Holodeck.

It's scary that the playerbase needs to point out the obvious to Cryptic.
The same issues happen with the M.A.C.O. Mark XI and XII shields, no visuals, while the mark X's visuals do work.
I placed in a bug report nearly a month ago, no reply. It appears to me that almost all of these sets are bonked in one way or another. I DON'T mind pointing these things out and I understand that the build was pushed to holodeck early so more could "test" it.
BUT I DO MIND having to GRIND MY *** OFF to get to test these things, THEN NOT GETTING ANY RESPONSE or EVEN AN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT on these very issues.

I'm all for working to get my rewards, by all means raise the bloody bar....but let's HAVE THEM BE actual rewards and NOT just another PROBLEM or disappointment .

TBH it's a "meh" set anyway. There are only 2 things good about it atm, the first being the engine ability, but i dont know if that even works right(does it?). I know the 2 piece set bonus is non-existent. The stealth ability hardly has any use to it unless you wanna try to sneak some carriers up on the enemy in an arena maybe. The other good thing about the set is the deflector stats(for my engineer anyway), but they arent live or die stats. I started using my borg set again and found my survivability go way up. Didnt notice it when i went from borg to KHG, but you definitely notice it when you go from KHG to borg. Pretty pitiful when the set you can get in 15 games or less out does the set that could take up to 120 games to get(unless you get the lucky rare drops).

for my situation(MK XI) there is a visual for the engines, its a gold tail, much shorter then the borg, breen, or that other set.

Breen set kinetic damage doesnt work. Power bonus to engines isnt applied.
yea i noticed that too. siphon works though.
