The amount of time it took me to level a new klingon character from start to finish.

How far we have come since the days of the horrific grind.

    Good work! What strategies did you employ? Anything you'd recommend doing differently?

    Q bonus + Episodes in order + As many Doff Assignments up constantly as possible.

    So nothing out of the ordinary its just that fast now.

    Slap one of the Borg 15% bonuses in there and your rate climbs even higher.

    They're actually 20% for 15 minutes but the point stands.

    Also I believe there's a Vet Reward that also gives +20% to your EXP gain for any new alts you make; and there is the fact that KDF start at 21 now, so it's 30 levels to 51.

    Still, that's fast (and I'm sure you are feeling some carpal tunnel effects. ;)

    That vet reward is only 5%

    And I didn't use a borg skill bonus.

    I'm not a smoker, but from what I observed ciggies tend to distract people because they have to occasionally fire up another one etc.:)
    not sure those actually help.
    My guess for long-time motivation would be: Klingon battlesongs.

    So, "Pack of Red Bull and a Weekend" really can be done, even for a 'grindy' faction like KDF..

    I hope someday there is so much content that it take 120 hours minimum of play to get to the level cap KDF side..


    way way way far from that now..

    maybe if it took that long there might just be more PvP

    I wonder if Cryptic forgot to lower the skill point rewards from tribble where they were increased to speed leveling for testing purposes.

    I t wasn't a forgot. There just really is very very very little KDF mission content.

    Never happen! Feddies can not take that long unless you are purposely trying not to reach level cap (even before the increase leveling speed added with Season 5).

    Levelled my Klink in about 12 hours over the weekend. Very thankful for the Q bonus. Now the grind is on to get good equipment.

    It is 5%, that's both what the Veteran Rewards table shows and what is given in game.

    I don't think they ever said that skill points were boosted for testing. Some players just assumed that. On the Tribble Q weekend they had right before launch I did decided to go for the rewards for both a Fed and KDF to max level. It was 8 hours for the KDF and 16 hours for the FED. However, in addition to the Q bonus, I also used 20% 8-Hour Skill Bonuses. There was no change since to skill points rewarded for missions.

    Did you have to replay many times or can you play the episodes in order and get to lg?

    I didn't replay a single mission.

    I had to skip one of the Devidian missions cos it was bugged and I skipped Colissium cos I only ever want to do that mission once per toon for the shield at max rank (Mk XI). As a result I hit max level from completing the little "go talk to the reman" at the end of the romulan episodes.

    After that i just clicked skip on all the remaining missions until I could do Assimilated for the borg console lol.
