Marauding, an actual counterpart to diplomacy?

Hello,

when Federation Diplomacy was introduced into the game over a year ago, there was an outcry by the Klingon community.
Content had been released that was only available to one side and no equivalent for the other was either provided or even in sight.
We were told that we would get such a counterpart:
Marauding.

Marauding however is only available as DOFF missions.
And it is the counterpart to the Federation Diplomacy DOFF missions.

So now the Federation has the FDC non-DOFF-missions and additionally the Diplomacy DOFF missions.


My question to the community now that the DOFF system approaches its release on holodeck:

is a DOFF mission type an actual counterpart to both DOFF- and non-DOFF-missions at the same time?
(for me the answer is no)


My question to the Devs is:

in the upcoming, planned to be planned to be actually done one day "Klingon revamp", will there be non-DOFF Marauding missions so we will receive an actual counterweight to the Federation Diplomatic missions?

    At least when I tried the DOFF missions KDF side I also noticed that the tiers for Marauding were less or more spread out than the Feds Diplo tiers. This means that the Feds will have more special DOFFs from the DOFF reward store.

    So my question is will they add more tiers, and rewards, to the Marauding system to further incentivise KDF players and reduce the gap between the Feds and the KDF?

    Both good questions.
    I too hope the "grand Revival" covers these areas as well.

    The great thing about this "grand revival" is that there is no eta on it, no details on what it will have or be, and pretty much no information on it from before I ever started playing STO or the KDF side which has been almost 10 months now. The revamp for the KDF is more like a bigfoot sighting than a future update. OH LOOK ITS NEW KLINGON CONTENT, oh wait sorry man on accident I was at Pi Canis and hit the F key on habit and I forgot I wiped the dust off of my monitor and it looked new for a second. I think thats as close as new content as we are gonna get by cleaning out monitors.

    It does feel that way.
    though we have gotten reassurances from the Devs that it is being created. Stormshade was quite passionette about it at one point.

    The Luxury of a lifer sub is I can wait and see and it costs me nothing.
    If nothing arrives I move on but return to play the FE's if bored.

    To the op, no I don't believe a doff mission is equal to having both doff and normal mission based ways of earning something.

    Am I surprised they gave something to the federation side ages ago and have still not given the equivalent to the klingon players? No. it is blatantly obvious that cryptic aren't interested in the klingon faction in this game, despite assurances to the contrary. I will only believe such assurances now, when I can actually see them live on holodeck with my own eyes.
