Hello all.
As you look at this idea of changing the Klingon ships?
Transfer Raptors in the range of free research ships, with a corresponding change in the inner parts. A BoP transferred to the line escorts leaving only 1-2 universal seats 2 level. And place of 3-4 levels by making tactical.
Actually this is some justification. In the first, Klingon have not free line of pure Sci ships and Gorns Sci only for money. Second, BoP revised steel just minimal crew (30-100) and hull with shield for scientific or engineering class ship, as well as very good maneuverability, Perfect pure Escort ship.
ps All this would better balance the Klingon line of ships.

I also designed a pair of "retrofit" ships for the KDF, one was based on the Norgh BoP and one was based on the T2 Raptor which would perhaps resemble what you have in mind at least a bit:

please keep in mind this was some time ago and some of the upcoming changes like the addition of the 9th console for T5 ships is of course not taken into account.
My idea was not really well received.
I liked it very much and thought the ideas within it held great promise.
