Copy back to holodeck

Does anyone think we will be allowed to copy our Tribble toons back to holodeck when FTP goes live

    I would say Definitely probably not, that would do all kinds of wrecking to the economy and other stuff.

    it will never happen. you cant copy it back for all kinds of technical and bug reasons, and because most of its in testing and xp is all over the place its just not fair.

    I think that they should allow us to copy our characters that we created into free spots on holodeck as a reward.

    Obviously in the unlikely event that they allow this, dilithium, c-store unlocks, energy credits, and probably even ships and inventory should not be copied to holodeck. I would be fine with anything they stripped.

    Unfortunately, I doubt they will open up reverse copying. :(

    It has been mentioned by more than one dev, you will NOT, repeat NOT be able to copy Tribble toons back to Holodeck.

    No. In no way is this any kind of good idea. Beta is for testing. Test characters can get wiped at any given time.

    If someone can't handle the fact that they created their character specifically for testing purposes (what a beta is designed to do) and will never be a 'live server' character, then they really shouldn't be playing on a beta server.

    I like the fact that Cryptic is giving whomever wants to test an opportunity (Open Beta, as it were), but I think this openness is giving some players the wrong impression that their characters are anything other than test beds and should be treated as such.

    Again, no. They're already giving out a *lot* of rewards, which is something most other companies don't even do for their beta testers. I've been in many betas and *extremely* few even give a simple title out to their testers, who may be testing games for a year or more. No game lets players copy a beta character into live, and no game should in the future.

    I was unaware of this. Can you please provide a link to where this was stated?

    Spend a little time searching the Dev tracker forum.
    This question has been asked dozens of times already and repeatedly by developers answered with a firm NO.
    You CANNOT transfer your character on Tribble to Holodeck, only from Holodeck to Tribble.

    You really can believe some folks when they answer you here, if you're unsure, do some searching on the forums before you ask a question and you may not even need to post your question, much less question the answer when you get it....:D

    The only way this could EVER happen and I mean EVER, is if the character transferred back with Zero assets and Zero items and Zero experience.

    All three of those categories have been thrown for a loop due to glitches and modifications to gameplay on tribble.

    Which is why no game imports characters from a *beta* server to a live server. The idea is just ludicrous and people seriously need to stop asking because it just isn't going to happen.
