Question on Doff Reward for tribble play

When the Devs say "Complete any Tier 3 Duty Officer commendation category accolade to receive a unique purple-quality duty officer with an active roster ability not attainable anywhere else in the game."

Does that mean attain level 3 and you get the juicy reward (after f2p goes live)... or do you have to level through level 3 and hit level 4?

    Anyone? Or is the answer so obvious Im just drawing LOLs with every reader (wouldnt be the first...but sometimes the obvious escapes me..as in this instance).

    It comes into effect straight away, my ambassador char i migrated over got his siplo doffs.

    Humm , by the way the dev blog read this "special" doff would only be given to players who leveled a character up from the start on tribble during the F2P test period. I think maybe you just got the doffs you would have had if you had played up to VA ?

    You do, in fact, get a token for DOffs at each 'tier' of any commendation type you unlock; so if you happened to have levels of Diplomacy when you transferred over, those automatically unlock the related reward tiers. These are not the same as the "special" DOffs you get for completing the "bonus" requirements of testing.

    The DOff related rewards are for any character, for any rank, including transfers, so transferring a character with max diplomacy theoretically grants you the conditional requirement.

    As for whether or not you need to hit Rank 3 or Rank 4 - the wording would imply you simply need to hit Rank 3.

    Thats how I read it... hit rank 3 (with a tribble created toon) and you are golden for the big "reward".

    Looks like I should have no problem hitting lvl 4 now anyway.

    that goes against the whole reason for you to test the system.


    why are you expecting to get goodies for transfering a character? the whole reason they offered the rewards is so that you would play on tribble and test the system.

    transfering a character with a high diplo already and instantly unlocking max teir diplo commendation is NOT testing the system.

    I'm not saying its deffinatly not the case that you'll get the bonus rewards for transfering, but certainly don't go around expecting that you get it. Just boggles the mind if they actually do give the reward to people for transfering a character........sigh

    My post said nothing about transfeering a character. I started one from scratch on tribble 2 weeks ago (VA now). Or maybe you are referring to the poster that said something about transferring?

    Anywho... no...a transferr toon, as stated by the devs, will NOT get the special rewards. Only a player leveled from level 0 up.

    Considering that all awards are supposed to be for new characters and I am assuming that they have some kind of copy flag in the character data, it should probably not happen. However, it would not shock me if they accidentally gave out the awards to players with copied characters.

    I mean, technically what they should be doing is giving out the duty officer awards for copied characters in every category BUT diplomatic and giving out the awards for new characters in every category including diplomatic.

    However, until the developers say otherwise, I would count on all awards being offered for new characters only (with the exception of the usual "tribble" for testing on tribble).

    Let make a note here that DIplomacy should not be included. come on really? 1,360 diplomacy to get to tier 4.. and there are both regular and DOFF missions tat award diplomacy..

    To hit justtier 3 in anything else... including KDF Maruding requiers 50,000 points, 100,000 for tier 4.

    I might make t-3 marauding on my Tribble KDF toon before F2P launches but Fed players are still seeing a lot more DOFF missions period then KDF players.
