When F2P started on Tribble, I could get 1440 for exploring a cluster. That seemed cool and a good way to grind to 8000 dilithium per day. Now that feature has been time limited I can only get the dilithium reward once per day no matter how many clusters I explore....
This seems less like a time-based reward and more like an attendance-based one.
Show up, explore a single cluster and get the same reward as the guy who explores ten. Harumph.
I'm mindful that all of this is still in flux...but what are the other ways to earn dilithium?
I know my imported VA can explore B'Tran VA and get another 1440/day
What can my lowly newly minted Tribble RA2 earn every day on Tribble right now?
How about dilithium rewards for patrol missions?
Dilithium rewards for level scaled up feature episode replays?
Foundry daily for 1440, dailies in Orellius and Eta Eridani (after you do the breen and devidian missions, respectively), PVP daily, the fleet action daily, probably Red Alerts (haven't actually gotten one finished on Tribble), STFs, Mirror Event.
I'm not sure but, I think you also get it for doing an exploration daily (explore 3 systems in an explore sector)? (I believe the sector didn't matter for that one, but I'm not sure.)

Duh, I should read better. You already covered this one in the OP.

Exactly my problem with it. You're not rewarding for putting time in the game, but for playing the game every day. Anyone that plays only on week-ends, but a lot of time, doesn't get rewarded. Heck, even if he somehow manages to go beyond the refinement limit, he is forced to log in every day to refine his ore it's would have been a waste of time.
Exploration Daily is one. Some Dilithium is also given at SFA for doing the trivia correctly, and Doff missions provide a small amount as well. I'm not sure about others which don't involve entering PvP, Fleet Action or Mirror Event.
To be honest, with so little ways to obtain Dilithium at the begining of the game, it may be difficult for Silvers to save enough currency to buy themselves a new ship (only two free tokens at the begining afaik).

That's my biggest beef with it. Casual gamers are toast in this incarnation of the game. Sure they can buy from C-Store but the whole term "casual player" should give an idea of how likely they are to do that. More likely to say "Meh, i'm out.".
As well it's just one more loss of freedom to do what you want. If i choose to explore for my dilithium then that's my choice. Forcing me to do all dailies, and forcing me down a scripted track? That, more than anything else, is going to drive me away from this game. It's almost like they're trying to get rid of the content drought by forcing you into content you don't want to use. Makes me wonder when patrols will be a forced exercise, or PvP.
Agreed, there is nowhere near enough ways to earn dilithium regulary on tribble right now!
You need to get rid of the explore daily and allow people to grind 1440 dilithium every half hour like you could do with badges beforehand.
Or put dilithium reward for every mission in the game (even on replays) to replace the merits that have now been removed.
I understand the limit on how much you can refine to control how much goes into the economy, but restricting us on how much we can earn as well cripples the game for any casual player!
