When I put DOffs in my GROUND DUTY Section to add thier buff to my Ground Missions, I am wondering if the buffs/debuffs occur when my BOffs use a particular power.
For instance, a DOff Doctor will buff Hit Points if a Medical Tricorder or Vascular Regenerator is used.
I'm an Engineer, but I have a Science BOff on my Away Team...
If she uses either of the powers described above, will my team get the associated buff?
Or do I have to be the one using the power in question?
There are some significant technical hurdles to overcome, not to mention some design considerations, to make this work with your bridge officers on the ground.
It is something we are considering, but is probably not likely to happen in the near future.

OK, Thank You for your 3am (my time) answer Sir... (gees, I thought I was a nightbird...) <chuckle>

This technical restriction basically does away with 2/3 of the possible Active Roster powers for any given Captain. That's disappointing to hear.

Even more disappointing because, honestly, as a tac, I don't see much that I like. Maybe if I switch from fire team to grenades, but as it is, I'm just stacking up doffs to spawn extra security escorts. With 5 ground slots, it's not that bad, but if it does expand as much as they've suggested, 10+ ground would be a lot to fill with lackluster options.
Even if your class has good ground doffs, that's a lot to pile onto only a couple skills.

When I tried to add a 4th doff with the same proc it told me I could only put 3, so I have 3 extra security escorts and 2 grenade cooldowns.

I will plan my strategies accordingly.

Heretic did say waaay back in the begining of the DOff-101 Thread, that you would only be able to EAT THREE at the most, of any type of DOff.
Some DOff powers, I have noticed will only let you EAT one.
(actually, you can EAT as many as you like... You just can't stack anymore than Three of some and One of others.)
I guess the important thing to remember is, once ya EAT em, ya can't TRADE em.
That is the way the system was designed.
Its funny you chose this one as an example because from my testing it doesnt work lol.
I sat on ESD spamming heals on myself for ages and didnt get a single proc. 12% my ear.
Perhaps (if it is working) it only works in Combat Situations???
Just a guess, mind you.
