Ok so I loved running the old STF's. It was tough but rewarding. Granted the rewarding part was over after the first time per charachter. But still the fun of running em for better times was there.
The new system has replayability (The rewards now require it). There just isnt the satisfaction and instant gratification of finishing the old ones.
After all the talk of simplifying the economy and trying to get to 1 currency I dont understand the logic behind this new system. It is complex. Buying things with 21 different kinds of loot to use those things to buy equipment can be complicated. So that I can get a better grasp on the process I wrote this google doc. It describes the system as I and several other people understand it so maybe you can avoid the hassle of figuring it out.

I have to say I like the concept and rarity of STF equipment this system brings I am just not a fan of the heavy grind. I think this system needs some work.
Would love to hear thought and comments.

It's also extremely annoying that rare salvage can't be used to get special reserve requisitions at all; that makes rare salvage completely useless once you have gotten your Mk XI standard issue ground gear, and the rare drops about as often as the common on ground instances I have seen so far. In space it's not as annoying since you have a lot more items that rare can be used to buy, and it's more "rare" than common as well.
Because it still is the regular mission reward (only now taking into accoutn the different levels?)
I have not access yet to the Borg Missions, still stuck in Romulan space, so I wouldn't know.
And if they want it on a special currency, one single for everything (with scaling numbers required) would be more in order.
I agree, why isn't it dilithium based like everything else is now?
