F2P Dev Blog #10 and C-Store Ships...

On the F2P Dev Blog #10 it states that C-Store ships are bound to an account, rather than to individual characters in the game -- so in other words, if you purchase the ship, it become available as a item that can be claimed for free by other characters on the same account that can fly it...

In the F2P Dev Blog #10, there is a chart that shows which ships will be available in the game through ship tokens and dilithium..and which are C-Store only. Several of the C-Store ships, such as the Karfi Carrier, will be C-Store only under the F2P model...

So...I have a situation where my Gorn Sci officer, a LTG, obtained the Karfi by using a ship token...for me, the Karfi was not purchased via the C-Store. Niether my Engineer or my Tac has the Karfi as a result...

But when F2P goes live, and the Karfi becomes a C-Store ship only...does that mean that because my Sci character already possesses it that my Engineer and Tac will, by default, have it available as a ship that they can claim for free, or does that mean that if I want either of them to have it, then I will need to purchase it off of the C-Store, even though my Sci charactor already has it?

I think that there are other vessels that fall into this same situation....

Just thought I would ask...

    Nothing will change. If a character has a ship then they will keep it, but if a character didnt have access because you hadnt bought it then they still wont have it.

    The ships have always been C-store only but we could get them via a now becoming defunct LG token. (I am in the same situation with my LG's too)

    Yeah, any ship you have on your characters will still be there once F2P comes in.

    Yeah, you should still have any ships you had prior to F2P, as previously stated by developers.
    Of course, it wouldn't be the first time they've changed their minds, either. ;)
    As a precaution, I would make sure all your guys have claimed any purchased ships from the Cstore in case they later change it to character only rather than account wide.
    Just in case...

    Yeah but would they really want to open a can of worms by altering something people have already bought and paid for?

    hm.. how can you determine what char should have the ship and what char should not anyway? I doubt they have saved the info from which char i made a purchase and especialy when i used the website c store....
